  1. I'm not sad at all. The owner completely penny pinched in FA when they had virtually no payroll. Then at the deadline they acquired a reclamation project reliever and a starter who was last good years ago. I can't stand the teams who are on the verge of a World Series and do absolutely nothing but sit on their hands. Maybe next year go out and make some moves instead of wasting a year of cheap elite talent.
  2. My hot take. If the Cubs intend on leaving Soto in the OF, then I think I'd rather the money be used elsewhere. If they're willing to put him at 1B/DH and fill in at LF where need be, then I'm on board. It just doesn't make sense to acquire Soto just to ship out Happ or devalue Happ by moving him just to fit in Soto.
  3. At the start of the game the Bears had allowed 18 sacks, Washington had allowed a league high 24. It's a terrible OL.
  4. It really is depressing
  5. If we see the Fields of week 4 and 5, I think they win. Of course it's entirely possible that Getsy and company inexplicably change the playing calling style once again and it's yet another unmitigated disaster, so who knows.
  6. Unfortunately I can't think of a scenario where MHJ and Fashanu are obtainable. If the Bears are bad enough to have 2 top 5 picks, 1 is definitely being used on a QB. I guess it's very slightly possible that Houston falls on their face and that would give Arizona 2 very high picks, but Stroud seems solid enough to keep Houston from completely bottoming out. If the Bears could add MHJ and Fashanu, they could literally spend the rest of the draft and the entirely of FA on the defense.
  7. Aikman blaming it on the GB line, not love. Funny stuff.
  8. GB is 1-4 right now if not for the Carr injury.
  9. Love against the Bears 3 TD 0 INT Love vs the rest of the NFL 5 TD 6 INT
  10. It's almost like Love isn't good unless he's playing the Bears.
  11. Really seems to like that fastball up in the zone
  12. This was the most glaring thing I've noticed with him. He holds the ball absolutely forever. Maybe he can make the quick throws, but it seemed like he always had a ton of time so he never had to.
  13. Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I just don't see it. I still think he's a very good prospect as I do see some Mahomes traits in him, He clearly would have been the #1 last year, but I just don't put him near that Peyton/Luck tier of prospect.
  14. If Fields has a big year, why would you trade him for another QB who may or may not have that same big year?
  15. Bryce Young so far Passing Yards: 750 (29th) TD: 5 (16th) INT: 4 (41st) QBR: 28.8 (31st) Rating: 77 (29th) CJ Stroud so far Passing Yards: 1461 (3rd) TD: 7 (10th) INT: 0 (1st) QBR: 56.4 (14th) Rating: 08.4 (9th)
  16. As long as it's high enough to get either MHJ or Fashanu, I'm cool with it.
  17. Not a great day for CJ Stroud but not bad 20/35 249 yards 1TD 0INT. Still has yet to throw an INT in the NFL.
  18. Between Achane and Nacua, some unexpected rookies destroying the league right now.
  19. Man Bryce young looks like a bust.
  20. So from what I've seen, the pros are that he doesn't panic in the pocket. He's good at avoiding rushers and rolls out a lot. He looks comfortable throwing on the run Mahomes style. The most glaring con is that he seems to hold the ball forever. He's never going to have anywhere near this long in the NFL.
  21. I chose the wrong game to really watch Caleb Williams.
  22. The teams with the 3 best records in baseball all lose game 1 of the NLDS, pending a historic LAD come back, fun times.
  23. Man QBR really hates Fields. Even after the last two games he's 26th at 44.9. His 95.4 RTG has him up to 14th.
  24. If the refs don't call Moore out of bounds, is this one of the best games by a WR ever?
  25. A game or two more of this and I'm fully back on the Fields train.
