  1. That sack was 100% on Fields
  2. I only have problems with runs up the gut on 4th and 1 when you're running it behind Patrick who is by far your worst lineman.
  3. Well that was terrible and momentum given right back to Detroit.
  4. That was a really bad 3rd down play call.
  5. Apparently Jaylon is just going to get a million interceptions from here on out.
  6. Bryce Young is hard struggling so far. 1-5 with a pick.
  7. If it was anything but a perfect throw, it would have ended badly, but it was a perfect throw so I guess we just be happy about it.
  8. So apparently Jake Browning is Peyton Manning.
  9. NO misses a 29 yard field goal to go up 3-0 on Carolina.
  10. That play only works because of all the running Fields had already done today.
  11. No flag again. Fields never gets them.
  12. It is hard to believe, considering the Cubs have never given out a 200M deal let alone 500M. I'd like to believe it's true, but I do have significant doubts.
  13. So at this point last year, the Cubs had Bellinger and Taillon already announced and in the next week would go on to announce Boxberger, Dansby and Smyly.
  14. I'm ok with grabbing Bieber, questions and all, because I don't think the cost will be that high. Clase will cost significantly more and still comes with a lot of his questions. I'm not comfortable giving Cleveland the assets they'd receive with that type of uncertainty surrounding Clase, even if his down year in 2023 was still quite good.
  15. People need to realize that Ohtani the player doesn't necessarily need to be worth 700M for this contract to be a success. It's an investment for the Dodger's future. Kids in Japan will grow up watching Ohtani and the Dodgers on TV. The Dodgers will become the most popular MLB team in Japan. That will carry a lot of weight when future players get posted.
  16. I'm not saying they should have paid 700M for Ohtani, but to not even make the final 3 is a really bad look. I hope people remember this when Soto is a FA next year.
  17. There just are no particularly great options at 3B. Yeah you could go Polanco as a passable option, you could severely overpay for a guy in Chapman who was the offensive equivalent of Madrigal over his last 450ish PAs, or you could put together what is likely an enormous package for Paredes who was fantastic last year, but only has last year as a sample of being an upper tier player.
  18. At the least I'd expect LAD is out on Yamamoto now.
  19. I genuinely do not blame Jed on this one, my mind is completely blown by that contract.
  20. My understanding was that, that's not how the salary cap works. That it was just what ever the per year average was, despite what they were actually paid in that year. Maybe I made that up, but I could swear that's what it was.
  21. Look, I was all in on Ohtani but 70M a year is just mind blowing. The Cubs could put all stars at 3 different positions for that.
  22. He's getting 700M, good god.
  23. I think NO is significantly better than their record, I don't think it's going to be all that close.
