  1. MHJ and Nabers are definitely gone by 9. If the chargers don't take Bowers he's there at 9 and I'd frankly be pretty surprised if Odunze isn't there at nine.
  2. The money may be similar, the upside definitely isn't. Kopech still has actual trade value and Moncada has immense upside if you can get him interested in baseball again. If I remember correctly, he has more or less been mentally checked out for a couple years now. He's the kind of guy I'd love to see Counsell get a shot at.
  3. The take from that GB game for me was that GB's offensive scheme is just light years ahead of the Bears. They constantly have men wide open way down field. I mean no one within 5 yards wide open and it happens constantly.
  4. 27 to nothing and it isn't even half.
  5. Never underestimate the ability of the Packers or Cardinals to ride mediocrity into deep playoff runs or championships. Between that and Dallas being a perennial playoff choker, it was destined to be.
  6. I'm actually expecting the opposite.
  7. If he somehow ends up on the Bears I will vomit.
  8. So I should also pay for various other services on top of that too?
  9. He was playing at 5 fWAR/162 pace so, to fall to 3 fWAR would require a whole lot of regression or injury. Even when he was still broken in 2022 and putting up an 83 wRC+ he still managed to put up a 1.8 fWAR.
  10. Not drafting Stroud might end up a Mahomes level disaster.
  11. It's the precedent it sets. Yes, it's $5, but if this works then it's going to happen more and more across various streaming services.
  12. If Bellinger is signing for 7/168, he should be a Cub right now. That's like best case scenario for the Cubs as far as a contract goes.
  13. I'm just now seeing that the KC/Miami guy will be on Peacock. It's ****** enough when they do this in the regular season, but doing this for a playoff game is even worse. I guess I'll be watching something else tonight. It's only a matter of time until the Super Bowl is PPV at this rate.
  14. 15M for Imanaga, but yes about 55M. After Bellinger you're probably talking about 28M, RP is probably going to require, conservatively, 10M if they're going after 2 arms. That means you're down to 18M and you haven't touched 3B yet. Remember, you never go all the way up to your limit in FA because you need to leave room to add at the deadline. So that 18M is probably more like 10-12M.
  15. I'm looking through the the list and I don't see anyone either available or that has been attached to the Cubs besides Alonso(118). There's this Zack Gelof in Oakland, whom I know almost nothing about, but he's 24 and put up the 3rd highest wRC+ against righties as a righty(167).
  16. If they're looking for a guy who mashes righties, that sure sounds like Belt. His 146 wRC+ against righties was 11th in baseball amongst qualified hitters. Josh Naylor was at 129 as well.
  17. If Imanaga puts up 3.2 war, then that was a grand slam of a contract.
  18. I wasn't even very enamored with Hicks the reliever, let alone Hicks the starter.
  19. The Dex walking onto the field at ST signing where none of his teammates knew, was the coolest free agent signing there has ever been.
  20. Absolutely love Mitsuwa. I've been there dozens of times and the food court is really nice too. On site that have that bakery "Pastry House Hippo", but there's an even better one like 5 minutes away called "Mont Blanc". The Fruit tart is top notch.
  21. I'd find it hard to believe that Busch and Naylor have equal value. One has proven it, and at a high level, the other still has not. Even when it's 6 years of Busch vs 3 years of Naylor, it still feels unlikely to me, especially when they're pretty similar age wise.
  22. I rather hope they don't trade Morel. I'd be really hyped about this line up if they could add Bellinger and Chapman. It doesn't have a megastar, but it's super deep when your 2nd worst hitter is likely to be Nico. It would also be one of the, if not the best, defensive teams in the league.
  23. Reds just greatly improved their pen by adding Stephenson and Suter. Nvm, the guy meant Tyler Stephenson but used the wrong name......
  24. The man has the personality of a wet sponge, I'm not sure TV is in his, or the audience's, best interest.
  25. I don't think there's any age restrictions on any list and he didn't have enough PAs to lose rookie eligibility.
