  1. Blown coverage leads to what may end up being enough points to beat the Bears.
  2. 9 quarters, offense still has 1 TD
  3. Ah yes, the give up on 3rd down. We're back into the FIelds era
  4. Jenkins isn't getting paid
  5. Completely screwed on that call
  6. Right now, I'm putting the o /u at 6.5 wins this year. This offense shows no signs whatsoever of starting to figure things out.
  7. The fact that this run game still looks bad against this run defense says very little for Waldron.
  8. The White Sox are 36-119 with 7 games to go. To avoid tying the most losses in a season in the modern era they must go 7-0 To avoid holding the record by themselves they must go 6-1 To avoid having the worst winning% in the modern era, .235, they must go 3-4 The White Sox currently sit at a -318 run differential which would be the 12th worst in the modern era. The Detroit Tigers have 3 seasons with worse run differentials. 1996(-320), 2019(-333) and 2003(-337). The 1932 Red Sox hold the run differential record at -345.
  9. Here's the video
  10. I think the entire Jets team might hate Aaron Rodgers.
  11. Aaron Rodgers is just an immeasurable horsefeathers. Coach goes to celebrate with him after a TD, Aaron Rodgers gently pushes him off and looks at him like he's a piece of horsefeathers.
  12. wRC+ up to 114, OPS sitting at .770, BB% is actually up from 2023, K% is just about the same. SLG is down like was expected. If there's a team who thinks he's a CFer, he's definitely getting a contract that makes opting out worth it. By wRC+, his 114 would put him as #9 amongst CFers who had at least 200 PAs.
  13. I know there's a substantial amount of risk involved in it, but I wouldn't hate if Nico was dealt for a SP and Shaw was your opening day 2B. He's an odds on favorite to not match the 3.5 fWAR Nico will likely end up providing this year, but he does provide a larger ceiling, especially offensively. As usual, Seattle makes sense as a trade partner. I'd rather run out Shaw at 2B and Bryce Miller as a starter with tons of money left to spend In FA. Nico alone might not get it done but I don't think it would require anyone big, maybe a guy in the 15-20 range.
  14. It saddens me a lot, but yeah Alcantara is the most likely of the top guys to get dealt. If it were it would be Caissie, but it definitely doesn't feel like the Cubs view it that way.

  16. I'm 99% sure DJ banged his wife/gf, it's the only explanation for how often he takes shots at him
  17. You'd have to pay me to watch that
  18. Fields is your week 3 QB. Things are looking good for that 6th round pick becoming a 4th.
  19. Who is Robert going to DH over? Assuming Bellinger is here, Seiya is your DH. I'm certainly not reducing Seiya/Busch's ABs so I can give them to Robert.
  20. Maybe the Bears should just close up shop PFF had the highest rated player in New Orlean's blow out over Dallas as Lucas Patrick with a 97.2 In last night's ATL/PHI game Darnell Mooney had 3 catches for 88 yards and a TD Guys who look just completely useless on the Bears go to other teams and instantly contribute and many at a high level.
  21. If the Cubs decided to chase Vlad Jr, I wonder if the Blue Jays would want to dump Yariel Rodriguez. I'm not super high on him as a starter, but I am high on him as a pen arm. The slider and Split are both very good. He could probably scrap the change up in the pen and the fastball would likely need a bit of a tweak, but I think he could be a really good pen arm. If he lowered the cost on Vlad Jr, all the better.
  22. Your really think if Cody was a FA today, 4/60 is a realistic deal? I'd consider that an absolute steal.
  23. For sure, but between guys like Little/Pearson/Palencia/Neely there's extremely good stuff that, assuming arms don't fall off. At least a couple of them should be strong BP arms in 2025. Then there's the big questions marks of guys like Merryweather and Almonte, who shouldn't be counted on for anything, but could end up being significant factors in the pen next year.
  24. The bullpen has a ton of promising arms with big time stuff, it's just keeping their arms attached at this point. What they really need in the pen is to add that one solidifying arm. I keep going back to David Robertson. He can be the closer if need be, but can also play the setup role.
  25. It doesn't have to hit the AAV, it just has to have more guaranteed money. He also has a 2.5M buyout if he opts out. So If he can stay hot and go out and get something like 4/90, he'd be wise to do so.
