  1. Delay of game on the defense to give GB a new set of downs. I swear to god refs come up with anything to bail them out.
  2. Goff has 28 passing yards and the Lions have still scored 35 with 2 minutes to go in the first half.
  3. I just get the feeling this is a game Caleb might have to put up 30-35 to win.
  4. Yeah Garcia is coming off a negative fwar season, in no world does that bring back 2 top 100 guys, one of them top 50.
  5. Technically they didn't draft him, but yes
  6. The Bulls are monumentally awful at drafting in the first round. Coby White is probably their best 1st round pick since 2011 when they picked Jimmy Butler.
  7. If you looked at the NBA scoreboard on ESPN last night it had the Bulls 81 NO 80 with the Bulls losing. Since I didn't watch the game, I was trying to figure out what the hell happened.
  8. Do we really need a quote to criticize Jed?
  9. Nope, not getting suckered in again. I was so sure Bryce Harper was a Cub. Then I thought last offseason, surely they'll be all in on a franchise changing talent like Ohtani. I expect more of the same. You'll get a tid bit of info here and there that gives you hope, but once the smoke clears you'll find out the Cubs were never even seriously involved. What I'm really scared about is that if they do decide to make a splash it's going to be something I truly hate like 7/240 to Burnes or 6/180 to Alonso.
  10. The super hype Cub offseasons died after the Jason Heyward signing. Since then it's been mostly pining for 1st tier players while settling for 2nd and 3rd tier FA
  11. I lament the loss of Bigge but I don't really care about trading Morel. He's just short of 1500 career PAs now and he's put up a whopping 2.3 fWAR. Over that same 3 year stretch Paredes has put up 10.1 fWAR. I still pull the trigger every time, but given the bullpen's needs, giving up a guy who might have been your best pen arm in 2025 kind of hurts.
  12. The part of me that wants the Bears to see the playoffs is cheering for him to sit out a week. The non rational part of me wants him to start so Caleb can absolutely stick it to the Commanders and shut down this nonsense that the Bears made a mistake at #1.
  13. I'm certainly not informed enough to know this, but I have to wonder if this is more a result of tinkering with his mechanics, as it's been rather unusual to see such a drastic change in control in command from one league to another. Perhaps I'm wrong, but the vast majority of the time it seems to be a "stuff" issue translating from one league to the other.
  14. While this is true, I don't even think this was a case of Fujinami not translating to MLB. It was a case of Fujinami can't throw strikes.
  15. At the very least, you have a man who has basically been hated by all of his former teammates who, even if she was ok with it, choked a women into unconsciousness and had sex with her. Hard no thanks.
  16. That guy is currently getting sued by a teenager who is claiming the guy who ended up with the ball, and his buddy, more or wrestled it away from him in the scrum including putting him in an arm bar. I doubt the teenager has any real chance unless it's absurdly egregious, but still scummy behavior.
  17. I'd be willing to put substantial money down that isn't wood from the the 20s. Old growth trees have tighter rings vs mass produced wood where they are much larger. Here's an example
  18. Yup my fault. It was a really bad weekend for top receivers.
  19. 500M is what people are saying now, but I suspect that will be closer to 600M by the time a contract actually comes to fruition.
  20. Detroit WR Jameson Williams is in trouble yet again, this time facing a 2 game suspension for violating the league's performance enhancing policy. Tampa Bay WR Chris Godwin tore both his ACL and MCL on a play late into a blow out in a game where TB had already lost Mike Evans with a hamstring injury.
  21. There were 3 plays in particular that were either just dumb luck or a receiver making an absurd catch. The first was on an underthrown ball to the left sideline. The WR is blanketed, but fights back through the defender making a one armed catch. The 2nd was a ball thrown down the right side line that bounces off the defenders shoulder pad up into the air and then is caught by the wide receiver. The third was a TE over the shoulder catch which was made while diving with quite literally the finger tips. It wasn't an awful throw, but that was an absurd catch and not something that you can expect to be duplicated. Now I'm not going to say Russell was bad, but he was no the guy his stats indicate he was. By that same measure, Rodgers was even worse than his line indicated. Something absurd like 100 of Breece Hall's 103 receiving yards were after the catch.
  22. A win here could give them quite a bit of breathing room going into the brutal final 8 games.
  23. Another former Cardinal player going on to a post season mvp award after they're no longer on the Cardinals. It's legitimately amazing how much talent around the league was given up by the Cards Zac Gallen Sandy Alcantara Jack Flaherty Michael Wacha Marcell Ozuna Tyler O'Neil Tommy Edman Randy Arozarena Adolis Garcia
  24. He is playing nowhere near his stat line. He's been bailed out 3 times on highlight catches for big yards.
  25. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle combine for 4 total targets on 26 pass attempts. That is what we call actively trying to lose.
