They're doing what they did with Ohtani and with Yamamoto. Yeah, those contracts are huge money, but it also vastly expanded their brand and brought in millions if not tens of millions of new fans who throw an ungodly amount of money at the various Dodger products to the point that those contracts are likely miniscule in comparison.. Now if they establish themselves as a historic dynasty they become what the Yankees of yesteryear were, unparalleled popularity but on a world wide level.
