    Last time Pujols executed a sac bunt, Geo was 18. Kaplan is pretty much calling Geo mentally weak. Are you serious?? That's terrible. Soto was killing the ball tonight. Bunting with him was a terrible decision. Yeah, he said "hitter's talk themselves out of being able to bunt." "It's part of the game, everyone should be able to do it." Then some idiot called about Pujols and Rolen being able to bunt. What horrible reasoning. I've always thought that Kaplan guy was an idiot. If bunting is part of the game and "everybody should be able to do it", then everybody should be able to hit the ball out of the ballpark, right? I mean, it's part of the game. Eff you Kaplan, you don't know spit.

    I was hoping that the Coobs face some adversity before the playoffs. They need to go in there with a nothing-to-lose attitude. Right now, they are playing like they have everything to lose. I don't mind them getting tested now because I think it'll be good for them in October. However, we're going to need some healthy pitchers to win the WS, though.

    Normal, in-season discomfort is the kind of stuff that lands Harden on the DL. The playoffs start in one month. They just need to do everything they can to get these guys back. Maybe a month-long breather is exactly what these guys need to be ready for the playoffs. This certainly sucks, though.

    I have no problem with them challenging the ruling. If he picks it up, it's definitely an out. However, I think Ned Yost is just an odd guy. A real growler, getting all worked up about this.

    The Cardinals have a huge following throughout most of the Midwest thanks to KMOX carrying their games and having a huge reach throughout the US from the 1950s until about 2006. It's surprising how many Cardinals fans you'll find in those areas. from going to games where the cardinals played the phillies and red sox, i have to conclude that the average age of a cardinals fan is 97 years old. 97 is also their average IQ. That's not exactly an insult. More like a statistical probablility.

    It's amazing Yost sees no problem with usage. He knows that they're not going to have him next year. Mine as well get your money's worth. That's fine and all, but doesn't he realize what the high PC did to CC's playoff performance last year? Hey, I agree. But it's Ned Yost. Many of his decisions have been downright Dusty-esque. He's the single biggest reason that I don't fear the Brewers. I hope he's there for a long time.

    I really hope that the Cubs resign Dempster.................hometown discount or no hometown discount. He's been extremely consistent this year, is a noted workout fanatic and a big part of the clubhouse. I really think this is who Ryan Dempster is. I wish Hendry could just transfer the last 3 years of KFuk's deal to Demp and call it even. Hopefully he's back next year, I love Harden but we know about his injury problems. That would leave Z and Lilly and we know that's not good enough.
