  1. For those of you who have cash to spare, check the ebay link above... $17,990 will get you 2 season tickets in section 105 row 12, along with the playoff and WS rights. I have no idea why you would be concerned with the rights though, you might see two games and then be done. :banghead: But, if the Cubs did make it to the WS you could go to game 1/3 and sell game 2/4, likely recouping some/half/most of the $17,990. Not saying it's a good financial decision, but if you want to try and justify it to your wife/accountant...
  2. Ok, so they kept $6 on every ticket sold for game 5 NLDS and games 1, 2, 6, and 7 of NLCS. Did most of the tickets sell for all those games? If so you are looking at 5 games * ~40,000 tickets * $6 per ticket = $1,200,000
  3. Got my refund today. Paid total $145.12 for Game 2 NLCS tickets and received a refund of $139.12. Basically $6 for two printouts on my computer that I will just burn now that I have my refund... :bye: :banghead:
  4. No refund for me yet either...
  5. http://tickets.shop.ebay.com/items/Event-Tickets__cubs-season-ticket_W0QQ_nkwZcubsQ20seasonQ20ticketQQ_catrefZ1QQ_flnZ1QQ_sacatZ16122QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em282?_trksid=p3286.c0.m282 Anywhere from $9,999 to $24,000
  6. Thanks so much!!!
  7. Has anyone received their refund for NLCS tickets yet? If not, could you post when you do get it so I know when I should be expecting mine. Being the lowly college student I am... the missing $150 from my bank account doesn't feel great. Thanks!
  8. 2 threads, geez.... #-o
  9. So I went ahead and made a bold decision, I guess. Picked up a pair for game 2, Section 239, Row 19, Seats 1 & 2. My girlfriend really likes sitting out there, and they weren't too terribly expensive. For anyone still waiting, I just opened probably 20 tabs, and was in within the first 5 minutes, easy.
  10. Hmmm.... so this isn't a fun situation. I really want to buy tickets, but is it worth the amount of the fees that won't be refundable. And down 0-2 doesn't look awesome for the Cubs on the plane to Los Angeles. So lets think about what to do.... -Harden WILL win game 3. The Cubs might score a few more runs, and if they get to Kuroda early maybe their offense is awakened. -Then you have Lilly in game 4, and is it Lowe for the Dodgers. With the way Lilly has been lately, its a tossup imo. -Which takes you to game 5, tied 2-2 at home with Dempster back on the hill, after his worst outing of the year. Billingsly would go again, I would assume, and you never know with a game 5. So if the Cubs can turn a 180 before game 3, anything could happen.... :banghead:
  11. That was the basis of what my post was going to be...
  12. As long as you get there at 10am (or whenever they go on sale) you should be fine. But if you're THAT worried about it, just sell me your password. Nope, I got dibs. I offered a cool sawbuck for the code 8-) What do pw's typically go for on the open market?
  13. So the pw only gets me a chance to get tickets. I have to go to the VWR tomorrow and get lucky.... Geez, twice in one week... I don't know, my luck has likely run out.
  14. Of course, they're not going to take your money and run with it if the Cubs lose. If it meant a WS next year because they were able to sign someone helpful I would let them have it. But if my $x.00 is what allows them to sign someone.... we are on a real tight budget.
  15. Ok, didn't read anything in the thread because it's 30 pgs long. I just got my Congrats email for NLCS tickets. If I buy them tomorrow, do I get my money back if they don't beat the Dodgers?
  16. This sounds weird, but Soriano has played respectable defense
