(A new record was set in 2007) you know as well as i do that a number or those tickets were sold well in advance. by september of that year, the real attendance wasn't exceeding 30,000, even if the paid attendance was above that mark.     From the Philly Inquirer: Interesting things to say about your hometown fans. Way worse than Z saying we shouldn't boo him when he sucks. It seems to be the farthest thing from how players view Wrigley fans after playing for the Cubs. I'm sure, though, that players like Jimmy Edmonds had a negative perception of Cubs fans prior to playing here.

    Bingo. Ideally, this would kill 2 birds with one stone if they could find a corner masher to hit #3 next year instead of Lee with Derrek batting #2 or #5 instead. Despite his batting woes, Kosuke is dynamite defenisvely and should be able to handle CF in a platoon with Johnson. Yeah, that's an expensive platoon, but you can't just leave him out there fulltime in a primo offensive slot if he doesn't drastically improve. Was Tex a bad RF or is he going to stay at 1st from here on? I'll defer to others since I really don't know, but if he can play it even just barely passably, I'd happily suffer through his defense for that bat...or hell, move Soriano to RF and put Tex in LF.     Lou, please continue to give Marmol his proper rest and we'll see him dominate. I would like to see Lou stop using Marmol up 7 runs. This would give him more rest, and he could be more dominant in the times we need him.

    That really has nothing to do with it. I think he finally adjusted to his loss of velocity and now is back on track. I agree. I think it doesn't matter to him if he is the '#1' or the '#5' He just goes out there to get a W for his team. I highly doubt anyone went up to him after the Harden trade and said you are now officially #4. :lol: Haha.

    You won't jinx it. We are going to make the playoffs. 99.5% chance. Thats about what our chances were of going to the Series after being up 3-1 on the Marlins in 2003 I looked and can't find what our % chance was after game 4, but I would bet that it was less than 99.5% Even weighting for pitching matchups, and home field, no more than 85%. What about in the 8th inning of Game 6 after the first out was recorded? What were our odds to make the WS then? I probably can't find that either.
