    Not if the starters pitch well and go deep into games. Jason Marquis... not happening The same Jason Marquis who has pitched atleast 6 innings in 9 of his last 10 starts. Rightt.. And has only gone over 100 pitches 3 of those 10 I'm baffled. Why is that bad? I not saying it is bad. What I was trying to say from my first quote in the post was that with Marquis and Harden going today, the odds that BOTH go deep AND pitch well isn't likely at all.

At least they're all rested. I have no problem with how they have pitched Harden, though. The real value he brings to this team starts in October, and if he is over-pitched in the regular season, that would be a bad thing.

    Speaking of the next Cubs/Nats game, any update on those tix? 3x face. Actually, I haven't gotten a final head count for who is going, so I'm not sure if I have extras or not. :shock: Alright, just so there is time to do whatever to pay for and get the tickets.

    Heard something on ESPN (maybe SC) last night about how the Yankees (surprised to see ESPN talk about them) were having discussions about getting him, but he can't get his fastball and slider right. If I remember right they said the slider is sitting around the high 70's. that's where mine was in 7th grade. of course, it was still there 5 years later, usually hovering around the middle of the plate and being hit really hard Bob Sanders = Freddy Garcia?

    Would he really be an improvement over Buchholz? and secondly are they already giving up on Buchholz? isn't the guy like 23? Turns 24 on Thursday. Ok ha are they giving up on a 23 year old? :-k See Felix Pie, IIRC

    So what will tickets go for in the VWR? Face value But will they jack up the 'face value' price? Or will it be the same price as the whatever regular season game against whatever team? Seriously? Yes, it'll definitely be higher than regular season prices. So then the term 'face value' really doesn't hold much water, per say. Face value means the price of the ticket as purchased from whatever entity is hosting the game/show/etc. No matter what the face value of Wrigley Field playoff tickets becomes, the value on the secondary market is going to be higher. Right, I know what the definition of face value is. But to say 'face value' to the bolded question really gives me no information, hence the 2nd question (in italics), followed by the SB comment.

    Thank you for a good morning laugh to take my mind off how rapidly approaching school is. No kidding it feels like I just got home from school last week. It just seems like whenever the Cubs are winning the summer flies by. Lets get a win today. Harden goes 7, strikes out 8. Fukudome gets 2 RBI, and the Cubs win 5-2. School coming up does suck, but as long as the Cubs win it doesn't matter. I am glad we agree on the score, must mean we are right. :yahoo:

    Meh, enough of all this negativity, this Morton clown belongs in AAA. Soriano hits a bomb, Edmonds continues to be a freak, and DLee hits into 4 double plays. Cubs win 5-2

    I don't know exactly when, so I voted other. I guess it just game after game of him doing well, making plays in center, hitting HR's, etc. and friends saying "when are you going to get over the fact that he was a Cardinal?" I was at his first game as a Cub and boo'd the crap out of him, and don't regret doing that. But I am glad we picked him up, and don't know how many games we would have lost if we didn't have him... :-k
