  1. give how great this team's offense is....
  2. :good: Sounds about right to me. Not just for the lineup either, I think we put them in the field this way, 1-9.
  3. If it was me: CF - Fukudome 2B - Theriot RF - Bradley 1B - Lee LF - Soriano 3B - Fontenot C - Soto SS - Blanco I would be willing to switch Bradley and Lee. But honestly, this team isn't going to hit no matter who plays where and hits where in the line up till ARam returns... At which point you go with: CF - Fukudome SS - Theriot RF - Bradley 1B - Lee 3B - Aram LF - Soriano 2B - Fontenot C - Soto
  4. On Mike & Mike earlier today they were talking about the baseball writers, the commish, and the HoF all getting together to come up with a set standard of how to (or not to) put these steroid era guys in the Hall. Some ideas they tossed out were using the infamous *, separate wing in the Hall for steroid era players, having a plaque at the entrance explaining the eras of baseball, etc. The one issue they talked about was distinguishing between testing positive and having speculation surrounding you. Tim Kuertkjen (no way that is spelled right) said he would vote everyone in. He didn't think it made sense that at the end of the day, the top two HR guys of all time (Bonds and ARod) along with 6 of the top 11 HR guys of all time weren't in the Hall. Also, who he says is arguably the greatest pitcher "any of us" have ever seen in Clemens not being in. Thoughts?
  5. Hopefully when this team gets its act together. They won't make the games up. We are going to be so far out of the division and wild card by the time the could make them up that Lou will just say "well..........I...........guys I don't know what you want me to say.............................we're guna lose the rest of our games anyway, why play the damn things?!?!?!?!"
  6. I sure hope we are the less bad team...
  7. He is? Certainly spoke it well enough to do hundreds of interviews about hitting HRs with Big Mac in 1998. I have the "Home Run Chase" VHS at home if you want me to send it to you. I don't think baseball been very very good to me would work in front of the buffoons in Congress. Failed post. Sry.
  8. So is this thread going to get as heated as the Sosa Retiring thread, seeing that now there is evidence?

  10. I doubt it because if he was tipped off about this coming out, I have a hard time believing hed make the comments about laying back and waiting for his call to the Hall of Fame. Sammy cant be that stupid can he? He pretended to not speak English, when we all know he is easily understood in English. Yes, he could be that stupid
  11. From the Sosa Retiring thread: Is this 2003 test and the "anonymous" tests the same thing?
  12. This is not an "I told you so thread". This is simply a restatement of what I said earlier in the year, a prediction I made in late April that I was lambasted on. hahahahahah :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  13. lol. You know the season is going great when Aaron Miles gets a single and makes a play and is POTG.
  14. I think Milton Bradley could be a very attractive piece, especially to an American League team that could use a DH for the playoffs. I agree that his contract sucks, though.
  15. He doubled in 2 runs. He made a terrible baserunning mistake, misplayed a ball into a run, and wasnt paying attention at how many outs there was, and threw the ball into the stands. Im sorry but his head isnt in the game plain and simple, and deserves getting on. 2 out of the 3 didn't hurt them at all. THe baserunning mistake would have led to Lee grounding out.. Bradley would have been stuck on 2nd after Soto popped out. Throwing the ball in the stands didn't hurt them either. That's really not the point though.
  16. This is coming from my Fantasy League, so don't judge if I leave someone out who should/include someone who shouldn't be on this list: Tejada, Houston Scutaro, Toronto Tulowitzki, Colorado Peralta, Cleveland Cabrera, Oakland Guzman, Washington Eckstein, San Diego Those are the only SS I even see as 1.) could be moved, and 2.) the team will be bad enough to move people. NONE of those are the "long-term" answer at shortstop I want to see this team go after. We may be stuck getting a pitcher for the bullpen, but I don't see a big move for the Cubs this deadline.
  17. I wouldn't be opposed to this. I just don't know who that long-term answer is. I really don't see them, whoever they are, coming over in a deadline deal.
