  1. When the Hawks took a 2-1 lead I put my pair up for $3400. 300 level row 6. 30 seconds after the game, stubhub sent me an email saying they sold. Looks like prices have dropped as now someone is selling a row in front of me for $3100 for a pair. I am going to buy 1 SRO ticket today about 3pm. SRO is now down to $800 I imagine it might drop a bit as the day goes by. I need to be at the UC by 5pm so I can try to get center ice.
  2. I think that was a combination of two things. Tampa clogging the middle of the ice to let the rookie get his feet wet and also Q mixing up all 4 lines, everyone was out of sync
  3. Well that is true. They are row 6 of the 300 level behind the goal the Hawks shoot at twice. For game 4 similar seats were going for $800 on stubhub. I did pay $345 a piece(face value) on ticketmaster during the Hull presale so the profit margin at least for game 4 was double. I'm sure game 6 will be much more than that. Looks like the cheapest actual seat is about $900, and that's row 17. I'm guessing you can get at least $1200 or so. How do the Hull and Mikita packages work? Is it just like regular season tickets (ie you can renew your seats every year, there's a wait list for them, etc)? I got on the waitlist in early 2009 for season tickets so I bought a Hull package back then(9 games) and renew it every year. There is a huge waitlist now too for the Hull package. I am allowed to buy 1 playoff game(2tix) per round on the presale but have to pay regular tickemaster prices.

  5. I have tickets to game 6. If the Hawks are up 3-2 I could see the Cup raised at the UC in person. On the other hand, I am getting married later this year and if I sell the tickets it would pay for a very nice honeymoon. I don't know what to do.... You can get married any old day. Seeing the Hawks lift the cup in person at the UC is a once in a lifetime event :) I agree! Other than seeing the Cubs win the WS in person, the Hawks winning it in person is something that would be beyond awesome.
  6. no, they are not very lucky. Yeah I have to disagree. The first 3 games were even. This one was more towards TB. The Hawks could have been swept or have swept or anything in between. Being 2-2 is the most probable outcome if anything Exactly. To me the Hawks played better in games 2 and 3 but lost, while winning the games Tampa looked like the better team.
  7. During the regular season, a .920 save % is about average. Playoffs are all about small sample sizes but historically, to beat the Hawks the opposing team has to have their goalie turn in a .940 save % and their team has to have a corsi of 55+. Hockey stats are a lot like defensive metrics in baseball though. This... And Tampa isn't near either the .950(I think its actually .950) or 55+ corsi. The only teams to beat the Hawks since 2009 Detroit 55+ corsi Vancouver 55+ corsi Coyotes (Mike Smith .960) Kings 55+ corsi

  9. This is very similar to the Anaheim series up to this point and we all know how that series ended. I won't get worried until the Hawks lose a 3rd game, only because a lucky bounce, hot goalie can kill you in one game. Toews was very quiet vs Boston during the first three games, very quiet against the Ducks too at the start of that series. For all the ledge jumpers please read this article, I read a similar article from the same blog when the Hawks were down 3-2 last series. http://thecommittedindian.com/this-early-grave/#more-13755
  10. On the other hand, people tend to overreact to one loss on the road in a game 2 that the home team had to win.
  11. No TB is not the best team they have faced. Ducks were better. Hawks got the split in Tampa, and if the Hawks take care of home ice, the Cup will be in the building down in Tampa on Saturday.
  12. It sucks having an extra day off between game 1 and 2.
  13. Is there somewhere that lists that stat? http://www.naturalstattrick.com/game.php?season=20142015&game=30411 I believe this is it CF- CA?
  14. I too am more confident than ever as for the rest of this series after the way game 1 played out. I also thought Versteeg played very well for a change. His goalie interference penalty, not so sure about. I fell the ref should either have not called a penalty at all or called coincidental minors on Versteeg and the TB player who pushed him.
  15. Huge win and deflating loss for Tampa! Not sure why they went into a shell like that in the third leading only 1-0. Its like playing prevent defense in the NFL leading by a FG. Not to get ahead of myself but win on Saturday and this time next week there will be a huge party at the UC
  16. You may well be right. But they had a better goal differential in the regular season, CORSI loves them, and we've had trouble with teams that can match our speed. I don't think this is going to be near as easy as many Hawks fans and outside observers do. While that is true, I wonder what CORSI says about their bottom two lines. This is what should be the difference in the series. It should be Hawks in 6. I don't see too many "experts" saying Hawks in 4 or 5.
  17. I think Boston holds that title if we are talking this era, otherwise the 1971 Habs
  18. Me too, I need to open a beer. Is it too early?
  19. It was Kane-Toews-Saad in practice yesterday, so we'll see if Q goes with that. And, yes, the Richards line could have some problems on D vs. triplets--maybe that's why he would keep the game 7 lines, so Hossa would provide more D than Kane? Yes that's the thinking with Hossa, plus Bickell has been a corpse, Hossa can maintain possession better than Kane. As for this series people keep harping on Tampa vs Chicago's top 2 lines but almost all of the Lignting goals this playoffs are from their top 2 lines. The difference will be the Hawks 3rd and 4th line this series. I think Sharp is going to have a hell of a series.
  20. So will he be this round's Emilio Estevez?
  21. I got two tickets to game 6. First seven rows of 300's are $345 LOL.
  22. Is it a STH presale or just a code that you use? If the later, I'd love to get my hands on that code :) It's my Hull 9 game package code. I think Ill shoot for game 6, and hope to see the Cup handed out in person to the Hawks
  23. SCF tickets go on sale at noon tomorrow on ticketmaster. Luckily I can get in on the presale at 9am. Unlucky for me, my work blocks ticketmaster so I will have to use my phone.
  24. Lightning playoff run saves locals from [expletive] music I hate hick-hop music
