  1. 2. Nice job Nats. I would be fine if the Brewers took a WC and then somehow took out LA and faced the Cubs in the NLCS
  3. I see you're not familiar with Atlanta I have been there a few times. They wanted a stadium out in the burbs rather than have their fans drive downtown.
  4. Well, most of the other teams are busy scamming their states out of billions for new stadiums. Yup, queue the White Sox fiasco back in the late 80's threatening to move to Florida or more recently the Braves moving out of their ancient 20 year old stadium to the suburbs because the neighborhood they played in was "full of colored folk"
  5. Never This was a one time "favor" by the city http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/cubs-get-go-ahead-to-play-one-friday-night-game/
  6. This was like the first game I ever remember watching. Sandberg stole home https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SDN/SDN198404080.shtml
  7. I read that article about Kaplan, and agree there really wasn't a reason to write about him. Although I had no idea his son has developmental problems.
  8. Brewers should have about 3 more losses than they do while the Cardinals about 3 more wins. Cubs win today and the Brewers-Cardinals go 67 innings.
  9. The Vaunted Brewers are playing the Vaunted Cardinals the next 3 days. Hope for the Cards to win 2 of 3? Probably don't want either team to sweep. But I guess it doesn't matter if the Cubs take care of the Pirates and Braves this week.
  10. If I remember correctly, the game threads during the playoffs last year were locked to only registered users and the board seemed to work fine.
  11. Going 8-5 over a 13 game stretch, regardless of the competition, is perfectly fine by me. There's nothing disappointing about that. That's playing at around a 100 win pace. I nearly drove off the road listening to Mully and Hanley whining about the 8-5 stretch and "only" gaining 1 game this morning on The Score. horsefeathering horrible takes. I could only listen for like 3 minutes before turning it off in a fit of rage. The last straw was when Jon Heyman said the Dodgers were more than 50% likely to win the World Series. LOL, so I wonder if Heyman would take a $1000 bet, he gets the Dodgers and I get the Field. I think Fangraghs has them at 24% and even that seems a bit high.
  12. The Cubs finished their 13 game stretch vs last place teams at a disappointing 8-5 and actually picked up 1 game on the Vaunted Brewers. Should have been probably a 10-3 stretch though.
  13. Passing Arizona and Colorado for the Wild Card is actually pretty helpful. Obviously the goal is still the division, but having a fallback option is never a bad thing. Yup. Len brought up a good point. Would you rather play the Dodgers in a best of 5 or best of 7? Obviously winning the division is best but his point was a team as Vaunted as the Dodgers its easier to win the shorter series
  14. Sounds like Donald Trump is a Brewer fan with all this nonsense.
  15. Explain iTunes store, you can buy every game of the playoffs for 2.99 each Youtube has each and every game for free
