    There are a lot of indefensibly stupid things that happen in the NCAA, but wtf are they thinking here. I really don't get it. What does a program have to do to receive an actual punishment? Have we come to the point where recruiting violations are worse than systematic child rape?

    as far as i know, minor league contact rate numbers only go back a few years player pages at minorleaguecentral.com have the contact rates (under Pitches) Ok, assuming it is ((AB-K)/AB) it was 81% for Castro in AA. Also, His minor league numbers look boring by our current standards. Only 9 HR in 1100 PA, blah.
