  1. wish they could run the ball though... what the heck kinda throw was that? honestly, just throw it at TJs feet
  2. Moose is lookin pretty good today
  3. I realize that the talent around him is different, but Charlie flipping Batch just went out and threw for 3 TDs against the Dolphins, who should prove to be much better on D than the Packers...Batch wasn't good enough for the Lions to keep around at QB...Crticize Rex all you want to, but he is better than Charlie Batch
  4. 1. preaseason polls suck, no question about it...my personal idea is to not put them out until teams have played at least one conference game 2. I'm sorry, but anybody who thinks Texas won't run wild on OSU is crazy...no offense to the NIU offensive line, but there is no way they're anywhere near as good as Texas'...and yes, Garrett Wolfe is probably one of the 3 best all-around backs in the country, but Jamaal Charles is no slouch...and sure, maybe OSU wasn't as motivated for the NIU game as they will be this week, but if you can't bring it every week, you're bound to get burned sooner or later
  5. King also spelled Tommie Harris' name wrong
  6. I would not be the least bit disappointed if it was a 6 point win. I should probably rephrase. I'd be unpleasantly surprised if it were any closer than a TD (mostly during the game). In the end, though, I'll gladly take any victory. exactly, who cares what the final score is...a win by 50 and a win by 1 still count the same in the standings
  7. i'm all for it, let players have some fun, but don't get hung up on wins and losses...dusty's gone, has to be, but he still won't play the kids, which does disappoint me...but hey, if you can't make the playoffs, why not root for a higher draft pick?
  8. you're telling me that Z hasn't had one this year? surprising, as Dusty lets him throw roughly 110 pitches a game or so...i kinda just figured he'd gone all the way a couple times
  9. i saw something that sai the Bears also have the easiest schedule in the league...that of course is according to last year's records, but still...they may not have a 13-3 record, but they will easily be the best in a weak NFC North...I really don't see how anyone could pick the Packers or Lions, and the Vikings are counting on Brad Johnson, and have no big time players on offense unless Troy Williamson turn out to be as good as they thought he would be coming out of SC
  10. So he's a roogy? maybe, or maybe he's the 2nd coming of Jon Leiber...can't get lefties out, but pretty good against righties
  11. am I the only one who thinks the Titans should just say F... it all and give Vince Young the team? I mean, Kerry Collins ran the Raiders into the ground with Randy Moss, Jerry Porter, and Lamont Jordan...what makes you think he'll do better with Drew Bennett and Chris Brown/Travis Henry/LenDale White?
  12. I'm all for the Bears signing Rogers, what He can do when healthy and focused could really help the team...and I think Lovie could keep him in line.
  13. I'd throw it as hard as I could, trying to hit him while he ran around the bases. haha, perfect answer...I would too, but my dad said he would keep it...
  14. here's a question...if you catch a Bonds homerun ball, would you personally throw it back? like him or not, juiced or not, the man is chasing history and will likely pass Aaron for the all-time homerun record...any homerun ball he hits becmomes a piece of history, but Bleacher/Cubs tradition mandates that all visitors' homerun balls be thrown back...what would you do?
  15. reminds me of an ump a couple weeks ago throwing a Dodger (rafael furcal possibly?) out of a game for slamming his helmet, when the player was obviously out and knew it and was simply frustrated with himself for swinging at a bad pitch...too many umpires have an ego and always think theyre being shown up
  16. the only good thing about AJ Feeley is Heather Mitts... http://www.heathermitts.com/gallery.htm:) , and the Jeff George signing may not be that bad, it seems that Randall Cunningham had a rather good year throwing deep to Randy Moss, and Jerry Porter, if he ever gets his head out of his butt, could be the Cris Carter (though not nearly as good) for George, and like him or not, he throws one heck of a deep ball
  17. how about the dodgers take on mabry's salary and we'll take back, oh i don't know, a clubhouse manager or something...maybe Tom Emanski's Defensive Drills instructional video, endorsed by none other than the great Fred McGriff?
  18. fuzzy logic but an interesting take http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2564713 you know, I bet Dusty had no idea that percentage-wise he was kind right, but still, it is kinda shocking when you look at it that way...regardless, major kudos to DLee for stepping u[ and telling it how it is
  19. Brooks Kieschnieck (sp?) would like to nominate Snider for the Hall, David Kelton, Nic Jackson, and Kevin Orie support the decision as well
  20. he's a flat out stud...but apparently this Veerlander kid has some good stuff too
  21. how about guys like Eric Hinske and Kyle Lohse who could help the Cubs but were traded away (let go?) years ago...i realize that they may have never been highly regarded...but hindsight's 20-20 right? also former Cubs: Brendan Donnelly (not resigned), Jose Molina (not resigned), more that i didn't bother to search too hard for almost a Cub: Khalil Greene, *sigh* didn't sign him outta Clemson after Jr. year...*sigh* I know none of these guys, save Greene, are really that much better than average, but wouldn't you rather have a guy like Lohse getting starts than Fat Glendon and Hinske playing everywhere instead of John Mabry, and maybe Molina isn't so great at all, but a dencent backup catcher, not that good 'ol Hank isn't good enough, but maybe too expensive...eh, whatever, you win some, you lose some...sadly Jim's lost too many recently I guess
  22. i see no problem in Ronny throwing home there...if he makes the throw on target like he probably would the majority of the time, we would instead be talking about what a good play it was...as an infielder myself for many years, i know what he was thinking, it was all instinctive...you don't sit and think, "what if i mess this throw up?" if you do that you've already blown the play...you see the play, you make the throw, and what happens happens... however, i do agree that there are many times this year when he has made some rather boneheaded decisions on throws that even an absolutely perfect rifle to first probably would not have gotten the runner out...where he will try to make the throw and inevitably throw it away...that being said, I do like that he is confident enough in himself that he could make those throws, just not happy that he hasn't yet gotten the idea of when he just needs to put it in his pocket and not try to do too much and impress people...he's playing too much for the big play at times, which makes him make some poor decisions
  23. Neifi obviously has some sort of access to pictures of Bud Selig in a compromising position of some sort, and is using it as blackmail to make Bud put pressure on owners and managers to give his worthless backside a job...

  25. Blanco is far from being barely a catcher. If he was barely a catcher, he would most certainly not be in the majors...because it took a huge hot streak just to get his average above .200, which goes to show that his hitting isn't what is keeping him around
