I suspect you're thinking of Andy Pratt, whom the Cubs acquired with Richard Lewis for Juan Cruz and Steve Smyth. He pitched in 4 games for the Cubs in 2004 (1.2 innings) and gave up 4 earned runs (21.60 ERA) on 7 walks (strangely, no hits) with 1 strikeout. In one game at Atlanta (which I was at) he faced 2 batters, both of whom walked, and both of whom then scored off of Farnsworth, which helped turn a 2-1 lead into a 5-2 loss. That's him, thanks. I knew his last name started with a P and he was the son of a coach. Specifically, his father (Tom Pratt) is pitching coach for the Daytona Cubs. I remember at the time of Andy's meltdown against the Braves some of us referred to it as his Prattfall.
