    Just imagine if we had Lee, Ramirez, and Beltran in the lineup. This year would have been entirely different than the reality we're being tormented with. And if they also had the brains to re-sign Nomar on top of that,..... =P~ But no. Who needs players like Beltran and Nomar, when we have studs like Neifi, Pierre, Mabry, and Bynum?

    This is the third week in a row I've been matched against another 2-win team. Hopefully the third time will be the charm. If so, I'll have my third win this year one week earlier in the season than my first win last year.

    The top two draft choices haven't even started playing yet. I'll admit I wasn't crazy about those picks, but it's WAY too soon to jump to any conclusions about the draft.

    Out of nowhere, I've pulled to within 10 points. Iguchi has gone wild tonight, scoring 18 points for me. I'm not sure if I can pull it out after deductions for total bases allowed or not.

    Interestingly, three of the "top" ten are current or former Cubs (Perez, Larry Bowa, and Don Kessinger). Ozzie Guillen is also on that list. Middle infielders completely dominate that list.

    bynum to the DL must be the 25-man move to bring lee back. It is. Confirmed on the telecast today. At least Murton is staying in the majors. Whether he stays in the starting lineup remains to be seen; there's talk of Nevin starting in LF. If the Cubs were contending this year that might be a good move because of Nevin's power, but since they aren't contending you do NOT start a player with no future over one who may have a future. Unless you're Dusty, that is. :x Of course Hendry could sign Nevin to a two year contact. Then he would have a future. :twisted: Why stop at two years? :D

    No on Pie and Sing. Pie isn't dominating at AAA; he needs to show more improvement there before he's brought up. Patterson was called up before he was ready; we don't want the same thing to happen with Pie. Sing is hitting .179 at West Tenn after being demoted from Iowa, so bringing him up is not even a remote possibility at this time. I agree with you about Theriot and Murton.

    I'd rather send Marmol down; I think he's more in need of more development in the minors since he's still fairly new to pitching.
