    I'm about 40 points down, but I have four pitching starts remaining and Raw has two. It will be tough but possible for me to make up that ground.

    Hopefully Ball State will get off to a faster start this year. Last year I remember they were short-handed the first several weeks due to suspensions.

    There were only 39 people on the 40-man roster because Miller is on the 60-day DL. Interesting that Williams or Ryu wasn't recalled... I think it was a matter of finding the guy who had the appropriate rest. Exactly. Williams just pitched on Sunday (and got torched), and Ryu pitched on Monday. They just weren't available yet.

    Since Wood's out for the rest of the year anyway, there would be no reason not to move him to the 60-day. Lee I'm not sure about, if they're still holding out hope for him returning this year.

    100% chance he won't play tomorrow. It's now Wednesday, which means "tomorrow" is Thursday, the off day.

    I made the championship game in my fantasy league last season because my semifinal opponent (who won the regular season) had Manning as his quarterback, and Manning only playing one series was enough for me to beat him in the semifinals.

    I'm not sure what he did at UW-Madison but I haven't seen any consistent oddities in any of his lineups.It's the poster that was at UW-Madison, not Yost.

    No, the right move would have been to replace Dusty during the season, even if it was with an interim manager. At least an interim manager may have done a competent job of handling the pitching staff, as opposed to Dusty abusing Zambrano this year just as he did with Prior and Wood in 2003.

    We could raise funds by auctioning off individual games for winning posters to manage. :D

    I remember that, and I'd always thought it was just for cash. I also think there may have been a similar sale arranged for Vida Blue that also got disallowed, but I'm not positive on that one. I believe these moves were where Kuhn first used the infamous "in the best interests of baseball" line. Basically, Finley was trying to gut his team to dump salary, and Kuhn wasn't allowing it. As far as the minors are concerned, I don't think classes B, C, and D still existed. This was in the mid-70s, and I think those classes went out of existence in the late 50s or 60s.
