  1. I'm going to assume this is a pun. If I'm right, you are up WAY too late. MPrior/Ron what the heck are you talking about? He's making fun of your spelling. The correct spelling is feasibly.
  2. I liked the part of the discussion about minor league no-hitters, especially their reaction when they were told about Mesa winning despite being no-hit. I thought it was interesting that there was a no-hitter affecting the organization and neither of them knew about it.
  3. I shall always remember his voodoo he performed on the team's bats a few years back prior to a 8 (?) game win streak. Actually, I believe it was a 12 game winning streak that followed an 8 game losing streak. That's precisely what happened in 2001. In fact, the 12-game win streak came IMMEDIATELY after the 8-game losing streak (the first game after the losing streak was the start of the winning streak).
  4. ooh good I forgot to do it, and I made up ground :D Yes, zero points was good for 2nd in the group for the week. I'm still in the top 5% nationally for the season (424 out of 9220).
  5. Disasterous week for me, -265 points. I would have been better off sitting the week out. Thanks to the Bears' suckiness, the Dolphins' defense killed me, as did Brees. I'm still in 2nd place in the NSBB group (not really that much to brag about, since it seems like only about three people are still participating).
  6. Interestingly, Adams himself is from NC (Raleigh, I believe).
  7. I'd go with the hot hand (Brees). If Vick can't cut it against Detroit (which isn't exactly the 1985 Bears), I don't know if I'd go with him against Cleveland either. And Pittsburgh is a disaster this year, so Brees might do well.
  8. I'm pretty sure he was. I think I remember him being with West Tenn a few years ago.
  9. The Oakland A's of Fremont. :D
  10. Except for when they're playing the Bears. :(
  11. Well, the Bears game WAS a blowout. Just not in the direction that would have been expected.
  12. Normally I'd say Gates, but this week I'd go with Desmond Clark. That may just be the Bear fan in me talking, though.
  13. I'm sure Ramirez would have a full no trade in his new deal. Even apart from that, I believe there is a rule that you can't trade a player signed as a free agent until June, even if it's re-signing your own free agent (unless that rule changed in the new CBA).
  14. If you're thinking of a regular season game (as opposed to the AFL), I believe you're thinking of the game at Carolina in August that I went to (that was the first game of a five-game sweep by Carolina that basically put the Jaxx out of contention). He had either three or four errors (I don't recall which) early in the game, including multiple errors in the same inning.
  15. I'm one of the ones still participating. I got 1065 points last week to move up to #300 overall. I'm still #2 in the NSBB group, as I have been the past few weeks.
  16. He BETTER not even have that long if that's the offseason.
  17. As always it's good to see what players in the system are thinking.
  18. Someone dropped Alexander in a keeper league? You've got to be kidding. I can't imagine even dropping him in a regular league (that's one reason for having bench players, so you can carry an injured player for a few weeks), let alone a keeper league. Yeah, apparently the same person dropped T.O. a month ago too. Now when my team is healthy, I'll have this lineup: QB P. Manning RB Alexander RB Willie Parker WR Roy Williams WR Larry Fitzgerald W/R either P. Burress or D. McAllister TE K. Winslow loooooaded I'm glad I'm not in that league. I wouldn't want to face your team. I think the rest of your league is playing for second place.
  19. Someone dropped Alexander in a keeper league? You've got to be kidding. I can't imagine even dropping him in a regular league (that's one reason for having bench players, so you can carry an injured player for a few weeks), let alone a keeper league.
  20. Where's Doc Brown when we need him? :D http://www.spencer1984.com/image/m116a.jpg
  21. The first round of Survival Football has ended, with MPC the only entry to pick a winner this past week. Since there's still more than half the season remaining I re-set the league and a new contest will begin this week. Since it is a fresh start people who didn't participate the first time can join.
  22. I agree on doing the deal. I'd always do a deal where I'm trading a bench player for one who has the potential to start.
  23. Actually, this year Harrison for Berrian might not be that one-sided. Berrian is having a great year (as a Bears fan I hope it continues). I agree with your point, though. Giving up Boldin and James for Brown is way too much. Giving up Boldin for Brown straight up, with James left out, is still way to much. If it was the other way around, Boldin for Brown and James, then it might be different.
  24. We're now past the halfway point of the fantasy season, and I've never been in a league this close this far into the season. Eight teams tied for first place at 4-3, with three more teams just a game back at 3-4. So next to last place is only one game behind first. Then we have imb goes deep into the cellar, giving somebody an almost automatic win each week. :D
