    If Pitino would leave Louisville for IU he should be given the job immediately without interviewing anybody else. I was at Kentucky when he came in and cleaned up a mess much worse than IU is facing in no time at all. Then he got Louisville back to an elite level, even though it may have taken a little longer than it took him at Kentucky. He's exactly the fix for a broken program.

    I like Sandberg23's wildcard pick. :D If I actually had the time to look at the lists in detail and see who wasn't on the main lists I probably would have picked Hamilton or Delmon Young instead of Soto.

    I went to the Friday and Sunday games in Raleigh. The highlight was watching Davidson come back and beat Georgetown. The lowlight was watching my lifeless Loosiers getting whipped by Arkansas.

    Will he be traded to the Cubs? I think so. Will it be before opening day? I'm guessing no. I think t will more likely be a trading deadline deal (just a hunch).

    That's my understanding too. It's a roll of the dice. If you put a player on your DL now in anticipation of him opening the season on the DL, and then he doesn't, bye bye; you've lost him.

    UK matches up ok with Marquette, it's going to be a battle of backcourts, which helps out UK. UM will still be favored, but given how UK played early on and how they finished, it's still a disappointing season and how well Patterson played before he got hurt as well as a strong class, I'm optimistic another year under Gillespie that they are on the right track. I remember twice in recent memory that UK played Marquette in the tournament (once in the second round, once in the regional final). Both times Marquette won despite Kentucky being seeded higher. Maybe this is UK's year for payback.

    I think Kansas vs. Tennessee is debatable, but what I don't think is debatable is that Tennessee should certainly not be THE LOWEST #2 seed. IF they're a #2 seed they should have been the highest, not the lowest. BTW, I've set up a new thread in Social so March Madness can have its own thread rather than being buried in this thread.
