  1. Jupiter won 2-1 in the bottom of the 23rd.
  2. I've been asked about trading Lincecum. Since I'm going nowhere fast I don't consider him untouchable. I'd be looking for a TOP prospect or exempt player and a draft pick (or both prospect and exempt player without draft pick). Let me know if interested.
  3. I read that he's on the standard 15-day DL.
  4. Just post here who it is and Brian or Tim can create a dummy player as a placeholder until the real player is added to the database.
  5. No word yet on whether they're malignant or benign. He's expected to be examined again next week and more should be known then. http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/news/story?id=6573413
  6. Uribe is scheduled for an MRI and may go on the DL, so I replaced him with Johnson for tomorrow.
  7. Too small of a sample size to be meaningful yet, but Josh Collmenter could be a nice pickup. In 20 innings (7 relief appearances plus his first start) he has a 0.90 ERA, 0.55 WHIP, 14 Ks, and only 1 BB. I figured he was worth a flier when I decided it was finally time to give up on Vazquez. And he has all three exemptions remaining.Six more shutout innings in his second major league start. That's 12 innings with a 0.00 ERA as a starter. He's outscored my other four starts combined.
  8. Wow, this game thread has now actually moved on to the 2nd page. :D

  10. No, the Giants are back in town for another series then anyway. The make-up game is the afternoon game of a day-night DH; the night game was already scheduled.
  11. My entire active pitching for the week combined was negative. I would have been better off leaving the pitching spots completely vacant. League and Duensing are the main culprits, but Vazquez was negative too.
  12. Duensing and League combined to give me -50 this week. When that happens you lose by over 100 despite having a 7-5 pitching start advantage. Duensing I won't give up on yet; he may just not have been prepared for his apparently last-minute start. League, bye-bye. Also bye-bye to Vazquez (despite his "only" -8.5 outing which pales in comparison).
  13. And Cleveland-Seattle has been postponed (again).
  14. I would have been better off not knowing about Duensing starting today until it was too late to change my lineup. He put up -22 today.
  15. Bye bye Brandon League. I think I'll be better off with a solid setup man (Mike Adams) than a sucky closer, especially since I already have Rivera.
  16. I'm now down to 6 starts for the week because of the Cubs (and Lincecum's start) being rained out. I'm so far behind I'm not going to bother looking for a 7th start on the scrap heap. At least this should make Lincecum a 2-start pitcher next week. ETA: I have my 7th start after all. Originally the Twins were going to skip Duensing because of his relief outing earlier in the week, but they decided he's rested enough to start today.
  17. That would be a tall order (barring a no-no from Lincecum or Hudson), especially considering that one of my starters is Vazquez. I really needed more from Davis yesterday.
  18. And one of my remaining starts is Lincecum against the Cubs. That could be a big score.
  19. Happiness is having not one, but two opponents' starts wiped out by rain. White and Bedard were pitching against each other when the Cleveland-Seattle game was rained out. Sadness is still trailing by over 100 points even with this development.
  20. I think he was referring to Jeff Kent. This thread has long stopped being about Jeff King.
  21. League crapped the bed again (-13). He's now at -28 for the week. As far as Tim's issue is concerned, I have no problem with him adding Erlin. As he pointed out everybody had fair shot during the prospect draft and passed.
  22. Correct. Nathan mentioned that in yesterday's thread. He had also missed a couple games with some injury (I'm not sure what, but he was day-to-day) after sliding into second during Tuesday's game.
  23. Yes, it's right now. Probably not enough to make a difference this week (thanks largely to my bush-League closer), but you never know when a few points could make a difference in a tie-breaker situation.
