you all realize that I have never been and never will be a Vikings fan, right? objectively look at this, a team that has the fortune that NO has had in the playoffs to get to the SB doesn't exactly represent the best a Conference has to offer. Its the old saying, its better to be lucky then good.

they backed into it. they played an Arizona team from the worse division in the NFL then played a Minnesota team that did everything to loose. Good luck with Manning! Archie must be loving this

the Saints cant take credit for Adrian Peterson, and allowed illegal hits will cause any QB to become a bit erratic

Don't blame them for the fates of Brett Favre. a 5:1 turnover ratio doesn't scream confidence to me when you still need OT at home to win, Favre or no Favre. the Saints wont get that against a good team.

NO had the good fortune of playing a team that decided to sh*t their pants insted of showing up, at home, and they STILL needed OT to win.

what are you kiding me? 2 ints (one caused by an illegal hit and should have been called back and given MN the ball on the 19), 6 fumbles (3 of which were lost)??? had NO played a real team and not the bumbling idiots they did, no way they are in it.

I could give a rat about Allen or Farve, but I believe the Saints backed their way into the SB. I dont think thats even debatable.

If it's going to be Rogers then I would assume there is a deadline to get things done well before the Super Bowl. if they're really desperate enough to hire some guy off the street like rogers, al saunders is available. Mike Martz plz

I'm sorry, how does this do anything except back up my point? You're willing to give him a pass on the issue of steroids prior to 2000 despite all of his credentials? What, was he just missing it everytime it was discussed or guys wer leaving the evidence sitting around their lockers or clubhouses? Was he just incompetent? Were PED's only being handled and used by a secret cabal of sports masterminds who kept it skillfully hidden from everyone else? I really don't see how listing the guy's credentials does anything to defend why he either completely missed the PED story for decades or willfully chose to ignore it or not pursue it. It's one of those three options. Which is it? Maybe we can give him a medal for whichever one it was since he did it so "well" for so long despite this being a gigantic open secret for decades. He's a sports columnist not a detective. Attacking Telander is really making you look silly. And Nuts & Gum superior credential are? credentials? what is this, checkpoint charlie? Telander is clearly out there stoking his ego. the entire damn column is sensationalism. really Telander? wow, thats profound.

god I wish we could win the SB to get 1/2 of those a-holes outta Chicago's spotlight. I guess that why Virginia likes Lovie so much. He's come the closest. of course, I would be more happy if someone bought Virginia out of power.

I'm speechless that anyone would defend letting the clock run down like that. You have so little faith in Cutler to play a series of downs without throwing an INT? Really? Honestly? This same guy you just extended halfway through the next decade? He can't be trusted now to play one series of downs without turning the ball over? I'm not even close to being at that point yet. 45 seconds and 2 timeouts is plenty of time to get the ball to Robbie for a game winning field goal. If you stop Minnesota, it's game over anyway. But, you absolutely MUST protect the clock in the event they do score. Guaranteed possession with 45 seconds and 2 timeouts is way better than a 50/50 shot of losing the coin toss in OT. Especially with even more defenders out for the remainder of the game (Peanut/Idonije). my fear has more to do with RT then Cutler, although Cutler has hardly been stellar this year
