  4. NEW YORK -- Monday night's game between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears was the highest-rated cable telecast of the year. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post/_/id/4666485/17-5m-viewers-watch-packers-bears CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE also, packers lost.
  5. sulley's right about meatheads and meatballs, fwiw oh, and erik, really???
  6. :( I have been officially defeated by the logic and wit of this response. you've been defeated by a lot of things gravity winner
  7. :( I have been officially defeated by the logic and wit of this response. you've been defeated by a lot of things
  8. wait wait wait I SEE ERIKS POINT the packers arent bad, they just suck at winning. makes perfect sense
  9. The turning point of the game was when Urlacher stripped the ball and the ball inexplicably didn't go out of bounds. It's something the Bears do well and they got it at a critical point of the game. It wasn't until that play that I thought the Packers were more in danger of losing than winning. But it's something I can live with and, while certainly frustrating that the Packers lost, it doesn't significantly diminish my outlook on the rest of the season. I still think the Packers are the class of the NFC North. So yeah, props to the Bears, they won fair and square tonight. But the season is a marathon, not a sprint. A big reason why the Bears were even in a position to win the game there is because the Packers consistently shot themselves in the foot with mistakes and dumb penalties. How many games are the Packers going to allow a team to stay close to them when they should be blowing them out before you admit that its killing the Packers chances of being a SB contender? No doubt the Packers are very talented, and they would probably have to still be my favorite for the division at this point, but you should feel down about your teams chances to win in the playoffs with such an undisciplined team. YES! Thank you! so the packers choke, but somehow they are still better?
  10. Yeah, ok whatever. Come to Green Bay. Good comeback.. Do the Bears have "no chance" in Green Bay also? It depends on where both teams are at during that point of the season. I HIGHLY suspect the Packers will be in the driver's seat. Look at this game and tell me the Packers aren't the better team and Aaron Rodgers isn't twice the QB that Jay Cutler is. Fine, Packers lost so congrats to all the Bears fans. I liken it to a baseball team that gets 10 hits and loses 2-1 due to two solo homers. See you in January. Bears fans would murder nuns to have Aaron Rodgers. They just won't admit it. huh? In case you both just missed it, the packers cant seem to keep from trying to rape the opposing team. thats not a good team.
  11. if ozzie becomes the cubs manager I'll stab myself in the chest
  12. I'm sure all his friends have
  13. who gives a damn if they players drink booze at the workplace? I do it where I work. Rarely, but I do. and besides, I think everyone is missing the important part of all of this. Castillo is clearly jealous of Colvin's popularity. HE TRIED TO STAB HIM IN THE HEART anger management classes for you, mr castillo.
  14. Maynard has nothing to do with Hester.
  15. I'm excited for Monday's game. I thought they would loose the the Cowboys, and still have a good chance at beating the Packers. Now, win-win both games, and we're on a roll and getting more confident. Keys: - stop Rogers, but don't totally disregard the run. The Pack are on a back-up RB, but lets not make him look like a world-beater. - The quick drop, Cutler to whomever. This has been the best blitz neutralizer ever devised, and I love seeing Martz use it. - special teams, Gould needs to keep nailing the FG's, and pinning them on the kick offs. He's been surprising this year.
  16. I think people might be overstating what Niemi will get in arbitration.
  17. did you recently move to Apple Valley? I lived very close to there not long ago.
  18. wtf ever. Gilbert just discovered what the Wolves discovered a few years ago with KG. when you have a superstar talent, and you dont support them, they eventually will leave to win the championship. see ya Cleveland, dont choke on your own blood
  19. yes, and what happens in 5 years when their payroll is is 75 mil + 5 mle's = 105 mil + 35 mil in luxury tax? the heat could theoretically, in 5 years, be spending 140 mil on that team. that's gotta make their shareholders a little nervous. they will prolly be thinking "man, those 4 championships were a blast!!!!"
  20. **shock** a young 20-something is sleeping with women
  21. Same here. Never had a problem. thats a totally different story in MPLS. the cabbies up there are famous for taking long circuitous routes (especially if they think you are from out of town) and I personally have a friend who was locked in a cab and harassed for money when she was $1-2 short on a $20 fair. cabbies suck. GO KANE
  22. Benedon, did you ask your buddy about the site?
