  1. Jan Stenerud and George Blanda are in the hall as kickers. Ray Guy is in the hall as a punter (wait, he's not? wtf?). Either way though, I agree that more K's and P's should be in there (not Vinatieri though, he's a little overrated from being on an awesome team). If you don't play an offensive skill position though, the NFL HOF is really hard to get into. Blanda threw for 25000+ yards and wasn't that great of a kicker. He's in because he did both for a very long time. Jan Stenerud I had never hearde of and after looking him up I don't understand why he is in over all others.
  2. Yeah, punters and kickers should be in - even if sparingly. Vinatieri should be there when he retires and Ray Guy should have already been there. I agree with guys who are pretty much solely returners not being in though. If they were a great player worthy of being in they would have started as a WR, RB, CB ... etc. Returning is a skill but if Randy Moss wanted to be a returner I'm pretty sure he would be better than anyone else ever has been. Moss is just an example.
  3. Tirico just said Vinatieri (spelling?) will be in the Hall of Fame. I agree he should be but if he does he would be the first kicker/punter in the Hall of Fame. It's a little of topic but I think it is ridiculous kicker's and punter's don't get in the Hall of Fame.
  4. Ha. Forgot all about this league and didn't finish last. Success!
  5. I had a bad first week but made up for this week. Got a chance at top scorer if Colts settle for FG's.
  6. You don't see the point in having one of the best WRs in the country play in a bowl game? Seriously, Andy? Floyd is never going to come back for a 5th year. He's probably not going to stay for 4. So why in the world would you not use him in every single game he's healthy? If Weis doesn't use a healthy Floyd in the bowl game, he should be stoned in the public square. I'm only joking to the extent that stoning is ridiculous b/c someone gun-toting Indiana boy would shoot him dead first. They can talk to Floyd and see if he will be turning pro despite missing most of the season. If he wants to stay and says there is chance he would stay an extra year then use the redshirt. As for the last sentence I'm a bit confused. Indiana doesn't have that many guns compared to other states. Southern Indiana is a lot like Kentucky and the South but most of Indiana is pretty progressive and live in decent sized cities.
  7. bobby abreu maybe? his fielding blows but he's been easily worth the $5M the angels are paying him. it seemed like the market settled and he was the last one standing; there may be another situation where everyone is all set and the cubs end up with bobby abreu or reggie sanders type. as for trades, maybe cody ross? he's due for an arbitration raise, similar to josh willingham last year, and the marlins didn't get all that much for willingham because they needed to dump salary. ross isn't great but he'd be a plus fielder in right and could probably be had without giving up a ton. what about luke scott? he could come cheap and he has a .902 OPS against RHP the last 3 seasons. Maybe a platoon with Johnson? Doesn't sound exciting, but it should get pretty solid production I wouldn't mind Luke Scott. He's got pretty good power and in the cubs lineup I would imagine he would see a little better pitches to hit than he does with Baltimore.
  8. Only if Indy ever gets a team and even then I'm not sure.
  9. WHY!?!
  10. I'm not expecting much from Purdue to be honest. Elliot turns the ball over, although he does a lot of good too. That means Notre Dame will probably focus on stacking the box against Boldin. Meanwhile ND will pick apart Purdue's secondary. Allen will probably dominate too as Northern Illinois ran over us last week.
  11. You don't know that. Yeah he does. Who's replacing Bradley in RF next year? I'm eager to hear your response. Why don't you wait until we see who actually will replace him next year before you make any proclamations as to who will have a better season. Speculation at this point is like pissing in the wind. Or you can look at the realistic in-house and free agent RF options for next year and see that I'm right Or you can stop acting like you are Miss Cleo. Actually now that I think about it you are right. No one ever has a break out year and an unexpecting FA never ends up producing better than expected. I'm pretty sure teams never trade anymore too.
  12. Yep because that is exactly what happened. Bradley married the Cubs but burnt the roast beef multiple times.
  13. I'm pretty sure she is one of them but she may be the hottest of them all. Let me ask the mirror on the wall.
  14. 2-0 with wins against the only two teams who have a chance to challenge us in the division. Best start possible.
  15. Everyone is getting that now.
  16. I don't see how people can blame anyone but Bradley on this. Have the fans been a little unfair to Bradley with the booing. Yes. But I find it hard to cheer for a guy who is all about himself and never takes the blame for his actions. He called out the fans. When you do that, no matter what fanbase, you are unlikely to ever get cheered for again. He has now once again gone off on the city of Chicago as well as criticizing the team in general. A guy like that doesn't belong in a dugout. Has anyone ever tried to do what Philly did with T.O. I don't agree with it but the court did decide in favor of Philly.
  17. He wasn't bad in 06 In 07 our line was terrible so who knows He's a Kevan Barlow. Slow acceleration so behind a bad o-line he can't do anything. Put him behind a good o-line and he will look great because he is good once he gets past the line of scrimmage.
  18. Correct its not a coincedence. You have practically all the same players. McCarthy could be why but I tend to blame players and not coaches for penalties.
  19. Some guy in my league has Johnson and Brees lol feel bad for that opponent. I have Brees, Colston and Ocho Cinco in my main league.
  20. Booo rushing TD lol
  21. Breesus on your fantasy team or something? He is but that's mainly because I'm biased. oh wait, you are in Nawlins. I just looked at your location for the first time. SHANLE INTERCEPTION!! That's not why. I like the Saints but that is because of Brees. I grew up in West Lafayette and lived across the street from Ross Ade and Mackey while Brees was at Purdue. He, Steve Young and Charles Barkley are my childhood sports heroes.
  22. There's the basic one of one's really good and one's really not.
  23. Yeah. Not only his he horribly inaccurate but he is a giant while Brees is undersized. One's White, One's... not white lol That one as well. They are both from the south though.
