  1. Breesus on your fantasy team or something? He is but that's mainly because I'm biased.
  2. Yeah. Not only his he horribly inaccurate but he is a giant while Brees is undersized.
  3. Woo hoo it stands!!!
  4. Well maybe not. Its been challenged and looks like heel may have touched a little white. Rant: Don't go to commercial on challenges for touchdowns. I would like to see the replay. Thank you.
  5. Another Brees TD. To Heath Evans this time.
  6. Losing Beason hurts Beason is hurt? How serious? Sorry Andy that sucks for you but as a 49ers fan it makes me happy. A month? I think? Good enough I guess but a season ending injury would be better for my team. I don't root for injuries but if they happen to a team that the 49ers own their first round pick I'm not going to feel bad about it.

  8. I like how Brees' big question mark coming into the league (along with his height) was that he didn't have great arm strength. Guess who's leading the league in completions of 25+ yards since 2006? He could make a run at both the yards mark and TD mark this season. Doubtful but he's doing it against Philly on the road.
  9. Brees is just dominating. He's got the spread offense from Purdue essentially. He's got so many good WR's they just use them all to spread out the defense. edit: as I write he gets picked
  10. So I've been debating McNabb's HOF chances with a friend for the last 15 minutes. I say he is a near lock. He needs four more seasons of average production (3,200 yards 20 TD's) to be top 10 in both categories. He will likely win more than 100 games as a starter, win more than 10 games in the playoffs and make at least 5 pro bowls. I don't see how that doesn't get you HOF. Unless he wins a Super bowl he won't be first ballot and even if he does he probably won't be but he will get in.
  11. I would say there was a very little chance of a BCS bowl before the season started.
  12. http://l.yimg.com/a/p/sp/tools/med/2009/09/ipt/1253293349.jpg This is the photo Yahoo decided to use as the preview for the week :rotfl:
  13. This has been a pet peeve of mine in football since I was a kid. Mainly it comes from teams who punt from the 50 on 4th and 1 or shorter. Why? You should be able to get 1 yard a majority of the time and if you don't the other team still needs 20 yards to get field goal range (30-40 yards in non-pro levels). That said going for it every time is idiotic. A mixture is the best way. Coaches are way to conservative but going for it every time is way to liberal. Sure the statistics may support it but statistics don't account for specific situations. Teams are different and regions are different. You need to adjust to the team you are playing. If they are a great defensive team I would punt a little more often. If they area great offensive team I would go for more often. Also his never returning a punt is just plain dumb. You are showing no trust in your players. You also are eliminating a part of the game, especially at the high school level, that can be the difference in games. If you have a great returner he can be lethal. One of the teams I cover down here has a very good returner and in each of his team's first three games he has had a big punt return in the second quarter to set up his team's first touchdown. The team is 3-0. Sure if you have no one who is good at returning then don't have a return but most good teams have someone who can excel as a returner.
  14. 31 games. Hasn't won since 1986!
  15. Are you kidding me. WTF are you throwing that for.
  16. Seriously, Notre Dame? HOw do you allow a guy to be uncovered in the endzone.
  17. So if MSU scores and wins do people go after Weis for running the wildcat when they were pounding MSU's defense? Not smart but no where near as bad as last week's passing.
  18. Because it's hilarious. That was awesome. Except for its really stupid. If he does make contact with someone and they get hurt, it would make a big story and could result in suspension. He had no reason to jump.
  19. Why did Tate jump into the MSU band? Was it MSU band? I thought I saw an S on the chest so I figured it was MSU but really don't know much about band uniforms.
  20. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4487005 Going to be one of the best classes of all time. You got NFL's leading rusher and the NFL's leading receiver. After that you can put in the next two best WR's (at least statistically) with Cris Carter and Tim Brown. Plus you got guys like LeBeau and Tagliabue.
  21. Yeah I'm in a bit shock on how bad the defense was. Looks like they are waking up though. edit: running into the kicker ruins the momentum built
  22. Wow Purdue looks like total ... well let's just say Ball Statesque.
  23. Now this is the Purdue team I expected. Down 21-7 at halftime ... to Northern Illinois
  24. 512th. All my players have positive points for me but I don't have any of the top players.
  25. I found it hilarious that Holtz told him to fire his agent and just go to the 49ers and ask for the best offer. I'm sure that would work out swimmingly for him. It's even worse knowing this was old footage of Crabtree. I don't understand the problem. He has a horribly incompetent agent who is screwing up his career. Yeah I don't understand what Parker is doing. He is one of the top agents in the NFL but he is royally screwing this one up. It makes me wonder how much of it is Crabtree because Parker didn't have this problem with his other agents. Here's alist of some of agents (may not be fully accurate) * Hines Ward (Super Bowl XL MVP and four-time Pro Bowler) * Richard Seymour (4 time All Pro) * Walter Jones (5 time All Pro) * Emmitt Smith (NFL all time leading rusher) * Larry Fitzgerald (All Pro) * Derrick Brooks (9 time All Pro) * Rod Woodson (11 time All Pro) * Aeneas Williams (8 time All Pro) * Rex Grossman (Super Bowl QB) * Devin Hester (NFL record holder, All Pro) * Cedric Benson (Super Bowl running back) * Curtis Martin (5 time All Pro) * Laveranues Coles (All Pro receiver) * Jason Peters (All Pro left tackle) * James Hardy (Bills 2008 2nd Round Draft Pick) * Greg Jennings (Green Bay Packers, 2006 2nd Round Draft Pick) * Felix Jones (Cowboys 2008 1st Round Draft Pick] * Tashard Choice (Cowboys 2008 3rd Round Draft Pick) * Steven Jackson (St. Louis Rams star running back) * Tyson Jackson (Kansas City Chiefs 2009 1st Round Draft Pick) * Michael Crabtree (San Francisco 49ers 2009 1st Round Draft Pick) What makes this all worse is that he is a former Purdue basketball player who was actually drafted in the NBA. He's in the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
