  1. I was coming here to make this joke.
  2. Did Grady try to hook up with you or something? Cause that would be news to the rest of us. Did you read the thread? Do you know what a joke is? Do you how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
  3. Rockets beat Thunder even with Scola getting hurt. Landry has 17 and 9 in the second half. We'll likely get to see what Landry can do for a handful of games as a starter. Scola may very well be losing his starter job permanently if Landry does well.
  4. back on topic Sizemore should be traded to the Cubs so we can have an openly gay player and owner.
  5. You haven't spelled his name right for even longer.
  6. This isn't the NFL or Basketball HOF. Baseball's is very very hard to get into and Will Clark is nowhere near a HOFer. He had less than 300 HR's, only 4 seasons of 100+ RBIs, two seasons of 100+ runs, only 6 seasons of 20+ HR's and only 1 GG (back when it was somewhat viable). Sure he had a good average and great OBP but nothing else is HOF worthy.
  7. Why? Who cares about his sexuality? He didn't say anyone did. At the least this is intriguing just because it's rare and very uncommon. All that said it has always been assumed that sports are similar to the military in that homosexual's are wanted. Not justifying it but if he was to come out as openly gay he would be the first prominent player of any sport (to my knowledge) to do so in his prime. What? :-)) *aren't eat me

  10. Barring a miracle I will move to 6-6 and at the worst should be in 9th place with one week to go. I could be in 8th place if I score enough to pass Cubicle Warriors (currently have). Going to be a fun last week of regular season next week.
  11. If he somehow does get to 2000 yards, i dont know how you don't give it to him. For one, Peyton Manning. In all honesty, we're probably 0-11 right now without CJ. LenDale White is a decent RB and I'm pretty sure you would have beaten Buffalo with the cheerleaders playing. In looking up the Titans schedule I noticed VY was the listed leader in passing against NE with 0. Figured it was a mistake and opened the box score. Has there ever been a game before where the teams leading passer had 0 yards and actually attempted passes. Or better yet a teams leading passer had 0 yards when the QB's had 2 completions?

  13. He'd never get my vote just because of how awful the DH rule is to me. The voters seem to be a pretty conservative bunch and I'm sure there are plenty who hate the DH as much as me. The DH to me is like voting for a non-kicker/punter ST's player in the NFL. Were they really good at that particular part of the game? Of course but every HOFer and even many non-HOFer's would have been just as good or better if they got to play on ST's/DH. Imagine what Griffey could have done if he didn't have to play the field once he go to Cinci or Bonds once his knee started to fail. Every pretty good hitter could have done as well or better than Martinez if they got to play only DH just as Ray Lewis would dominate if he played ST's. not at all. there's been plenty of full time dh's who don't come close to approaching edgar's production. using that logic, pitchers in the al shouldn't be eligible for the hall. Where did I say everyone who plays DH can do what Edgar did? I said every good hitter could. There are 10-20 players in his era that could have put up equally impressive statistics if they only played DH. Some did put up equally productive numbers even while playing the field. Edgar was a very good hitter but there are an abundance of players who were comparable hitters, while playing the field, and aren't in the HOF or even really considered. Basically if you are going to only play half the game you should be head and shoulders above everyone else in that part of the game. He only had 3 seasons where he had a batting or OBP title and only one season of 30+ HR's. His most similar career on baseball-reference is Will Clark. Anyone think he is a HOFer?
  14. If he somehow does get to 2000 yards, i dont know how you don't give it to him. I would say it depends on what Brees and Peyton do the rest of the way as well as if Tennessee continues to win. Both Brees and Peyton are leading undefeated teams and dominating while doing it.
  15. Why does everyone decide to play horribly against Arizona? Their offense isn't that great this season (still good but just not dominant) and their defense is average. Despite all this every team seems to lay an egg against the Cardinals.

  17. With two weeks to go it is looking like it will be a cluster ... for the last playoff spot. I am off to a good start and a win gets me to 6-6 with I think 4 other teams.
  18. So does Utah pick John Wall? Utah?
  19. Do you struggle putting on condiments? The ad is a couple weeks old but I still laugh every time at the opening line.
  20. Is this directed at me? If so then you need to do more research because I said he was the best CB a few weeks ago. If I remember correctly someone then brought up Bailey.
  21. He is also allowing a lot of catches like he always has. He either gets the big INT or he gives up the catch because he always goes for the INT even when he has no chance. See his only 7 PD's and 44 solo tackles as evidence. He is having a good year but he isn't close to Allen or Sharper in the DPOY race at this point. Jonathan Joseph I would say is above him as well. He has 5 INT's (same as Woodson coming into week) and league leading 15 PD's for the surprise team of the year. epic fail Looks like Joseph isn't doing as well as thought. This does however back up what I said against Woodson. He gives up a lot. Anyways Joseph, while not as good as thought, is still just as good as Woodson. Joseph 8th in coverage, Woodson 23rd Joseph 8 PD (7th), Woodson 1 PD (80th) Woodson is the best against the run but to me at least I'll take the better cover corner every time because CB's don't get many chances to get tackles in the run game.
  22. Darren Sharper is in that conversation. 7 INT's, 3 returned for TD in 9 games this year. Yeah, forgot about him as well. Woodson has 7 INT's now and a number of forced fumbles too. He has 5 INT's (same as Woodson coming into week) and league leading 15 PD's for the surprise team of the year. How is 44 solo tackles evidence of that? And according to nfl.com Woodson has 18 pds to Joseph's 20. Woodson also has 2 sacks to JJ's 0 and 4 forced fumbles to JJ's 1. JJ may be a better pure cover corner, I don't know, but play makers win post season awards and Woodson has made more plays than JJ. To say Woodson isn't at least close to Sharper and Allen is ridiculous. edit: I noticed a discrepancy between Passes defensed listed on nfl.com and espn.com and I was a little confused, but went with nfl.com because I take that to be the official stats. I just figured out the difference is due to nfl.com counting interceptions as defensed passes. So Woodson has 11 non interception passes defensed and Joseph has 15 (one game behind). I'll still say that Woodson gets my extremely biased, layman vote for DPOY as of now. When it comes to CB's, solo tackles are largely due to allowing a catch and then getting the tackle. CB's don't get many solo tackles on runs. They come up in run support a lot and get tackles but those don't go in as solo.

  24. seriously? Yes seriously. They waived goodbye to 2 of their biggest stars in Ordonez and Carlos Lee, and another, Frank Thomas was a non factor for nearly the entire season. The replace them with Scott Podsednik, AJ Pierzynski, and Jermaine Dye. How does a catcher replace a non-catcher?
  25. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4691552 :-)) I don't think Tebow will amount to much in the pros but some people do and he could pan out. Many have before that did little in college and no one expected to do well in the pros.
