  1. One Vikings have been good on D. Two they dominanted the Colts game just couldn't punch it in. That's obviously part of the game but its not going to happen very often in a game like that and when your RB has 150+ yards. They aren't bad they just aren't the great team all the experts got high on.
  2. 49ers should go to 2-1. We play well at home and its Detroit. It's going to get old hearing the Martz's old team, O'Sullvan castoff crap all week.
  3. how's it goin' youngin' :hello: Well his age certainly explains this thread http://www.northsidebaseball.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=50951&start=0
  4. If Wrigley is gone there would be a hole in my fanhood of the Cubs. I just can't see watching the Cubs without Wrigley. They should do massive renovations but keep the look of the ball park intact. Plus a new ball park will likely get rid of the bleacher's and the first come first serve type of seating. Wrigley - 23 years old
  5. 49ers 1-1 with an offense that can pass. It looks like we could win the division as we almost always beat Arizona and would have last week except we had a uncharacteristic 4 fumbles in the game.
  6. Not as impressive as you think. Because it is a no-hitter he saw very few batters (about as many as a normal 7 inning start).
  7. Let's not take a chance, just ban this one now. what he said ... that guy is either 4 years old, a troll, and just plain dim witted I would say 2/20 with incentives to get up to 12 per year and club option of 11 mil for a third year (with inflation 11 mil will be like 10 mil). And no most teams don't have multiple guys who can do a good job closing. A few teams, and the Cubs are one have multiple guys, and quite a few teams have no one. There are less than 32 dependable closer's in the league.
  8. Get Cuban as owner is #1 on my list. With him anyone we want we get.
  9. Yeah that's bizarre too. Does the MLB have any clue what they are doing? What happens if it for some reason is Boston vs. White Sox for the WC, what are they going to do? BTW, the fact that the White Sox get HFA over Minny in a potential one game playoff is HUGE They can flip another coin. Nah that's too hard. I was thinking a player on each team is selected and they engage in a game of parcheesi. no that's how India does it
  10. Sounds good to me. I found the video hilariously but then again i have two older sisters who watched Dirty Dancing literally every day for 2 years of my childhood.
  11. No that would mean Houston would win the division. I know thats why I'm saying its weird that we would flip for the division, when realistically the only way there would be a 1 game tie breaker between Milwaukee and Chicago is if they both tied and Philadelphia passes both of us. As we know the chances of doing this is next to impossible. It's more likely (albeit not very) that Chicago finishes 2nd in the Central and tied with a team like Houston or Philly for the WC. If the Cubs go 6-10 in their last 16 games, the Phillies would have to go 15-0 and the Brewers would have to go 11-4 to make a 1 game playoff occur. not to mention the Mets would have to hold off the Phillies
  12. HAHHAHA thats good and in reference to the West Virginia question I'm nearly certain there is a federal law that says it has to be at least 16.
  13. ahhh thought I was going to get it but nope at the very last post you beat me to it ... that is one of the best catches ever IMO.
  14. No that would mean Houston would win the division.
  15. It's actually 17 in most states or at least a good amount of them.
  16. fixed ... (she's no more a swimmer now than Summer Sanders ... mmmm Summer Sanders ... but she is a runway model now)
  17. I have sources that say Cuban will be announced as the new owner next week. My sources are myself and a couple friends who really want Cuban to be the owner. See the point??? By saying just sources it can be anyone and they can say whatever they want whether they anything or not.
  18. Yeah thats like literally the exact same stat line except the K's.. Guys, sorry to burst the bubble, but thats a pretty giant except. Um, no. If it mattered or the voters cared, why did Ryan Howard win MVP? I meant in real life, not in post season awards. The first post doesn't say anything about post season awards. Look, outs are outs. I know this is an entire debate unto itself, but are we really getting to get picky about moving runners up or not grounding into double plays? Players can strike out and still be productive. I just don't see how the greater number of strikeouts being literally the only difference in the above stat lines matters at all when considering who has contributed more offensively. For the Record: Soto: 11 GIDP McCann: 17 GIDP I think that stat is much less trivial than their strikeouts, but maybe that's just me When looking at everything all stats together SO's lose a lot of their importance. Getting a groundout could still score a run or sac fly at the very least moves the runners over but all except that last one are accounted for with RBI's. So SO's don't mean as much, now if you look at as a GM with all things equal I'll take the guy who strikesout less because that tends to mean better plate disapline which when their bats slow becomes more important.
  19. I think it means even big slow oxen get a lucky bounce every now and then. Well it was actually a homerun the ump just missed the call and Geo had to run to get it.
  20. yeah that one got me laughing too
  21. It's an interesting read and learned some things I didn't know. One thing I did know was Dempster likes to make jokes but this one was really good. Anyways here's the link http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/story?section=magazine&id=3577154
  22. He said he would take the NL Central with his eyes closed hmmm seems to me the NL Central is 43 games over .500 while the AL is just 2. Sure overall the AL is better than the NL but not 41 games.
  23. all that and the brewers have been sucking lately and while its not as important as other sports they have very little playoff experience
