  1. That could be, although he does recruit better than people think. The big ten hasn't really had too many great teams lately. I would say since he has been in the conference the only great teams were the '05 Illini and '05 MSU. We beat him three times that year and I think MSU split with him. So even then he went 1-4 against teams with a lot better talent than him. please tell me you just forgot about the '07 Ohio State team gulty as charged. How did Bo do against them? Lost by 3 at Wisconsin early in conference season, won by 1 at home in second to last conference game, won by 17 in BT Tournament title game. Wisconsin as you might recall was damn good that year too. They were No. 4 in the first game, No. 2 in the last regular season matchup and No. 4 in BT tournament title game. They lost 4 games in the regular season that year but got beat in tournament title and got upset in second round of NCAA tournament.

So even then he went 1-4 against teams with a lot better talent than him. please tell me you just forgot about the '07 Ohio State team That team wasn't even close to great during the Big 10 season. They had a bunch of young guys and got hot at the end of the year with a bunch of individual talent. Kind of like Michigan with the Fab Five, not a great team during the season but turned it on at the right time. Let me get this straight you don't think a team that lost only three regular season games was great during the regular season. Do you know what the three losses were? They were at UNC, at Florida and at Wisconsin. They also won their conference games by an average of 10.3 points. They won the regular season and tournament title and lost to a back-to-back national champion team. Michigan State in 2005 lost 3 conference games and 7 overall they aren't even close to Ohio State in 2007. Illinois 2005 is the best and its not even close. They only lost two games all year (including NCG) and beat conference opponents by an average of 15 points.
  3. Was wondering when you would show up and as I told you last year no one who refuses to join a conference fully should be allowed to brag about said conference. If this is how ND fans would be in every sport then I am glad ND stays out of a conference in football. This doesn't make any sense. So because Notre Dame isn't in the Big East in football means a Notre Dame fan can't brag about the Big East in basketball? That's a pretty stupid opinion. I'm bitter because I think its ridiculous for teams to be allowed to join a conference in one sport but not the others (except for the sports that don't have enough teams in the normal conference and have to create a different one). That and I had to hear his crap all last year.

  6. Have we actually proven that Sulley will exist if he can't speak out against those speaking ill of the Illini? I like to think of it as a public service. well, since that's pretty much everyone on this board, my existence is ensured for a very long time. and btw, the overlooked fouls over the last 4 minutes of that game were just payback for 2001. they are still calling fouls on arch in that one. I sending ill thoughts your way about the Illini ... whatchew gonna do about it? Probably beat you again at least once this year. So before you go thinking that Purdue was just amazing last year and that they are a lock to win the big ten. Remember they lost to us last year and we were about as bad as you could be and still be considered a D1 team. You weren't that bad last year....You guys way underperformed and should have been in the middle of the big ten...Either us or Michigan State are a lock to win the Big Ten this year the rest of the teams are weak... Watching us every game, it sure felt like we were horrible. More than bad luck it was more an ability to find ways to lose. Either shooting 50% from the free throw line or playing Chester Frazier around 34 minutes a game, we were bad. Oh and I still think Wisky wins the conference. I know they shouldn't, but they always overacheive. yeah, but that was there team with Brian Butch and Joe Krabbenhoft. They lost two of there three big guys. Butch was a force in the Big Ten. I just don't think Flowers and Landry will carry them to a title. They'll be good, but that's going to be tough with Purdue and Mich St being in there way They also weren't going to be as good without Devin Harris. Then without Mike Wilkinson, then they lost Alando Tucker. They just reload. If you want to beat them for the conference title you better be damn good. Like top 10 good. You may do it, but it won't be easy. You got a good point, but I feel like last year we were just young and inexperienced and they were a bunch of veteran guys who like you said reload and get it done, but this year will be a year older and more big game tested that's all I'm saying. Wisconsin will likely be right in the mix again. I haven't said anything is a lock for anyone. There is a reason the games are played and injuries happen. All I've said is it is highly unlikely Purdue gets third because not only do they have the most returning they beat Wisconsin both times last year and would have beaten MSU both times if Hummel didn't get a sudden sickness.

  8. If Purdue does indeed finish 3rd it will be because they lose to teams other than MSU and Wisconsin. They beat Wisconsin twice last year and split with MSU. The one MSU loss was by three on the road and without Hummel due to sickness. With Purdue having essentially the same team back I can't see them losing more than 2 of the four and I think its just as likely they win 3 or 4 of them. With two losses Purdue should win the title. Last year they lost the title because they got upset late in the season by Ohio State. That's what will have to happen this year for Purdue to lose the conference and probably one or two more upsets for them to finish third.
  9. BTW one of the games of the year not only in the Big Ten but perhaps nationally as well could be each of Purdue's and MSU final season game. That is because they play each other and it may very well determine the champ. Unfortunately for me its at MSU.
  10. Brandon Jennings sure comes out ahead (what a year plus for Arizona). that was my thoughts when I heard
  11. Well considering Minnesota split the season series with Ohio State with each team winning by double digits when at home and that was during the first year under a new head coach I don't see how anyone could say Ohio State and Minnesota won't be close this year. Plus your numbers are off. Minnesota was indeed bad first top 100 (2-10) but all but one of those games were against top 50. They were 2-9 first top 50. Ohio State? 2-10 first top 50. http://www.kenpom.com/rpi.php
  12. Why? http://blogs.suntimes.com/fullcourtpress/sampson4.jpg Oh God, Bama football and IU basketball. I thought Fiver was an Auburn fan. Wrong? hence why bama football is bugging him
  13. Purdue played some games against some very strong competition in Australia over the summer. All reports from that indicate that Moore showed a stronger ability to create shots for himself than he did as a freshman. I think he was a little tentative for the majority of his first season. Part of that probably had to do with the fact that his ball-handling skills weren't anything great. It sounds like he's really improved that part of his game, and that's one of the reasons I can see him really taking off this year. Like you said, Hummell is a player. I'm curious to see how he builds off of his success as a freshman, since he was a strong all-around player. It wouldn't surprise me if he really improved his rebounding numbers this season. Moore averaged 27 points per game against the Australian teams. It should be noted they didn't play other Australian college teams they played the professional teams and went 2-3. Morgan or someone from MSU will almost have to be on first team because they will finish in the top three. I wouldn't just pencil them in the top 3. Purdue is better than them. Wisconsin will be in the top of the conference, they always are and Bo rents Izzo's butt out each year as he owns him. Ohio State has as much talent as they do. I do think that MSU will be at the top, but I do not think they are a lock to finish above any of those teams. I think it goes: 1. Purdue 2. Michigan State 3. Wisconsin 4. Ohio State/Minnesota I'm saying this because Wisconsin lost to much this year. Yeah they held onto Landry and Flowers, but all those big guys graduated. Ohio State is very talented, but we have to see if that pans out and on the other hand Minnesota was last year where everyone predicted Purdue was going to be last year. So who knows maybe a year into Tubby Smith and all those Sophomores will make this team even better? Minnesota's not very good. They aren't close to Ohio State. Considering they finished one spot behind Ohio State last year and it was Tubby Smith's first year I don't see why they can't finish ahead of Ohio State. Is it the most likely situation no but considering both teams have to replace its top two players I wouldn't lock either into any position.

  15. the acting was really bad. if i never heard of ryan braun, i would have guessed that it was the beginning of a porno and braun was about to get some with the blonde and all the other players. seriously. I think it was purposefully done bad and done to be like a bad porno. The lines about between the legs and signing balls are on purpose and the looks she gives throughout ...
  16. That beats Bob Rohrman. At least Rohrman's are funny. In what sick world is Bob Rohrman funny? If you are from Lafayette like I am he is funny. He makes commercials just for the Lafayette area that are purposefully super cheesy to the point they are funny. He has had hundreds over the years.
  17. Ummmmm he made second team All Big Ten last year and Hummel is the only returning first teamer meaning there are plenty of open slots. He is also the conferences leading returning scorer and Michigan will likely be better than they were last year. Moore was second team as well Yeah and he's included on my first team predictions.
  18. Ummmmm he made second team All Big Ten last year and Hummel is the only returning first teamer meaning there are plenty of open slots. He is also the conferences leading returning scorer and Michigan will likely be better than they were last year. Manny Harris was a guard with a A/TO ratio worse than 1. Much worse than 1. Michigan's returning roster sucks. Their incoming freshmen suck. John Beilien should get down on his knees and thank God every day for the charred remains of the Indiana Hoosiers or they'd be a lock for last in the Big 10. Didn't affect him in getting second team last year as a freshman. Since he was a freshman he is likely to improve that A/TO margin. Lastly Michigan finished second to last last year so I don't see how it happening again will make it impossible for Harris to be first team. If they had a preseason first team he would be on it.

  20. those 2 who? landry or flowers. He's good enough problem is Harris and Moore are G's and they don't like having three G's on first team normally. Plus Landry and Flowers made 2nd/3rd team last year while Hughes didn't.
  21. those 2 who?
  22. so dmac, hummel, Moore and who else? Dmac, Hummel, Moore, Landry, Kalin Lucas I'm thinking G Manny Harris G E'Twaun Moore F Robbie Hummel F Raymar Morgan F Landry or Flowers (one of the Wisconsin guys will get on)
  23. Because they are the eighth highest scorer of any position in the league.
