    hey cubbies75...sweet sig pic. olsen's gonna be the man. too bad his puss of a brother is in camp with the bears. i don't know how many people remember, but his bro was a top flight qb recruit who went to nd. once he saw quinn was gonna take over he transfered. greg olsen was actually at nd too, but he left when his brother did because apparently he was being teased mercilessly about his sissy of a brother quitting on the team.

    his ball has a ton of movement. reminds me of how nasty juan cruz's ball used to move. of course juan could only pitch like 4 innings and then he was gassed. angel's got great stuff, he just needs to learn how to pitch and trust his stuff. once rich hill did that he became the beast he is today.

    fontenot is a friend of mine from lsu. i'll admit he hasn't panned out in the bigs, but he's got more talent in his pinkie toe then you have in your whole body. he might've had one of the best seasons by a freshman in college baseball history...but you're probably right, his talent is limited

    because he has a track record of getting ABSOLUTELY WAXED in the series. he lost in 5 to the dodgers, 4 to the reds, and 4 to the sox. if he loses in 4 or 5 to the tigers this year, you have to see a pattern developing. kinda like everybody's beloved billy beane only winning one playoff series ever...there's a pattern there too. and for the record george bush went to yale...money gets ya' a lot of places in the ivy league so that "harvard argument" doesn't make much sense

    the 90's a's were being touted as one of the great teams EVER and the reds swept them in 4 games. it pretty much had to do with the reds taking away the running game of the a's rickey henderson. they talked about it a good bit on the dan patrick show today. basically larussa got scared to run on joe oliver (catcher) and the reds pitching staff. that and jose rijo was NASTY!! 4 games later larussa was a laughing stock because nobody in the world thought they would lose that series.

    absolutely not...they are gonna get killed. the best part is it will cement larussa's place in history as one of the worst post-season managers EVER. if they get swept it will be the third time he's been swept in the world series. the best of course being by Piniella and the '90 reds in one of the greatest ws upsets ever.
