  1. we need some white sox fans to jump on the field and try to stomp old blue out there
  2. took too big of a turn around third and got caught in a rundown for the third out. shoulda had runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs, but he sh*t the bed on the basepath again
  3. best call ever. looked like he was gonna hop to 2nd
  4. that pitch to fonz wasn't even close. this dude is doing this on purpose
  5. gerald perry's gonna snap. why not toss the pitcher for that sh*t? lou's gonna punch that guy!
  6. You win. Soriano's spot in the order is not the problem, or even a problem at all. And moving him in the order to put Pie of all people in the leadoff spot would be an awful decision. No one (at least not me) is saying Soriano's spot in the order is a problem. It's just that we have another player (Theriot) that most likely can get on base as much as Soriano. It's a waste of resources to have a guy with his power potential batting leadoff. He doesn't hit as well when not hitting leadoff. that's just [expletive]. the only time he's guaranteed to leadoff an inning is in the 1st. makes absolutely no sense to me why he couldn't produce from another spot unless it's just his selfishness getting in the way of him playing well because he's pouting about not being the "leadoff guy"
  7. i heard on espn radio today that the fat bastard was told by the third base ump that lou kicked him and he relayed that on to mlb. in an interview with lou before the game he was specifically asked by the media if he kicked him, so i think that's the contact in question
  8. he should have a "neck off" with frank beamer
  9. lol so true. let's see how long lou's suspension is for and if trammell avoids him the whole time
  10. awful call, felix just go hosed. blue wants to go home
  11. hill had the most awkward looking slide ever
  12. Indeed it is..... don't get too used to it as long as felix hits he isn't going anywhere. lou likes him and has said it several times. as bad as we are playing, if felix can hit consistently, he will alleviate a headache for lou by being an everyday CONSISTENT cf
  13. But, but, Ron isn't in a movie that comes out this week, nor does he play for a local sports team (or Notre Dame) or a jinxing sox fan like bernie [expletive] mack
  14. dempster just decided to chill in the dugout today
  15. fair enough, I'm just not going to jump on the "Froeming is a big fat meanie" side of the argument Well he is fat. To the point where he cannot perform his job. the fat on his eyelids and inability to get in position almost cost us a homer earlier. i hate froeming, he's always making himself part of the game. no reason for him to have repeatedly pushed lou back yesterday.
  16. fair enough, I'm just not going to jump on the "Froeming is a big fat meanie" side of the argument lou was actually caught off guard today when asked if he kicked him. when told that bruce froeming said that lou was taken aback. he said that he and bruce are close friends and he is surprised that he would say something that was completely untrue
  17. Eyre wants to know if you'll put money on that. will ohman will take that bet
  18. I love D. Lee...but that would not be easy unless you were in a room full of Cubs homers. it's that case for any player. arod, pujols, etc. everyone's gonna argue for their guy, but it's tough to take someone over a healthy dlee. especially now that it looks like he's gonna bat .350 every single year. all i'm saying about it being "easy" is that he has average, power, discipline, speed, defense, leadership, etc. and all of them can't really be argued against.
  19. you could easily argue that dlee is the best player in baseball. as soon as his power numbers come around he won't be fair to pitch against. he just doesn't do anything wrong out there
  20. his lack of effort will hirt us. he did the same thing on his homer. it was two feet into the basket and he was jogging like it was on sheffield. it's little things that become bad habits. we're gonna be in an important game and he's gonna think he homered and be jogging and end up getting thrown out at second. it's the first thing you're taught as a kid...hustle out of the box. i wouldn't worry about it, the cubs won't be playing in an important game any time soon i would argue that this next series in milwaukee is as important a series as we've had all year. we could make three games up just like that
  21. no yes...he jogged all the way to 1st base and slid for no reason into third. if he hustled out of the box it would've been very very interesting at home plate with a cutoff. He could have been very easily out. I have no problem with him playing it safe with a triple with 0 out. If it were infrequent, it wouldn't be a big deal. Not running is becoming an everyday thing with Soriano. THis seems alot like alot like the Aram bashing of last year. Despite my sn I'm not trying to sound like a Soriano apoligists. I believe he deserves every bit of criticism for his bad power #'s. I just think the "hustling" thing is very "Levine" like. funny thing though is aram is hustling this year. soriano is here because of his speed and power. tough to use your speed when you're jogging on every ball hit in the outfield.
