  1. That's fair, OMC, I don't/ddn't like Bobby Massie character (or lack thereof), so you stuck with him.
  2. Patience is an ally, my friends. Walking out with a win from San Jose........no matter the circumstance...............is always a good thing. :D
  3. Enjoy the game, marvel in the fact that the Hawks have the talent to win any and every game they are involve with, but know this that at anytime during the season you win ugly games, and lose pretty games. I don't mind the "over the top involvement" but save it for the playoffs. That's what I do. Partly because the freakin' Cubs gave me an ulcer, so watching hockey is pretty much relaxing for me.
  4. I didn't think the game was over, but I figured getting spotted a 3 goal lead in the first 10 minutes of the game gave us good odds. I also didn't expect the Hawks to go without a goal the rest of the game so far. But there are some that immediately go into the "sky is falling, lets revert back to being Cubs fans" overreaction when the Hawks coughed up the lead. That crap gets annoying during the baseball season, don't need that overreaction in hockey season, too. where is the "sky is falling" stuff you're talking about? we were just pissed about coughin up a lead. Check back during certain games this year, and last. There were plenty of "sky is falling" fears present.

  6. Why did people think the Hawks could keep a very talented Sharks team down and leading 3-0 early? Hello, there is a reason why the Sharks are battling the Hawks for best of the west. And there is a reason why they've been elite for a few years now. The Hawks of all teams should should now you can't keep a good team down, for long.
  7. AI official quote about being voted into the game: So yeah, I think he's going even tho he doesn't deserve to be there.
  8. yeah, i've read reports today that say that Coleman may be considering Alabama and Miami in addition to Auburn. As of a week ago, he said he was 100% committed to Auburn but would still take his visits..we'll see. There are always some surprises on signing day. I think Shon Coleman is Bama's if we want him, and that seems to be the case (considering Stone is all but guarantee to Tennessee). Bama is said to want to close with two offensive linemen, and one of them is, IMO, Arie Kouandjo (sp?) and I believe Coleman. It's been said that Coleman is simply waiting on a commitable offer from UA and once he gets it he will turn. I think Bama will finish AK, Coleman, and Ivory (Memphis NG who committed to Bama today), and will spend the rest of the week trying to dispell negative recruiting that has been said to guys like Keenan Allen (not going to lose, but Clemson has been feeding him lies about Bama's offense).
  9. Rose clearly belongs, but I think Hortford is the one who prolly shouldn't have gone.
  10. Yeah..... I wonder if this means Rose will playing in the Rook/Soph game or pass on it.
  11. You'll get Da'rick Rogers, this will be a good pick up for you guys. As for James Stone, had Lane Kiffin not left for USC, Tennessee would have no shot at Stone as James will did not like Lane Kiffin, but since he left I think Stone to Tenn is all but guarantee. Alabama has all but given up on Stone and are in the middle of turning Shon Coleman from Auburn. So you guys will be getting a helluva WR and OL, so congrats.
  12. For those who don't know, the DBacks fans are estatic he won't be back. What Juan Pierre was to the 4-3 groundout for the Cubs, Byrnes was to the Dbacks with popups. If he were to accept a minor league deal, I wouldn't mind giving him an opportunity to win a spot as the 5th OFer/AAA filler
  13. Wtih guys like Byrnes, Nelson and Gomes coming out saying "they wanted to be Cubs", I wonder if this means that the all of the small market teams are out of money this offseason. I wouldn't mind Nelson or Byrnes but only on a minor league deal with an invite to Spring Training, nothing guarantee.
  14. I wouldn't be opposed to Nelson, as long as he doesn't make much more then what he made last yr which was 1.3 mill.
  15. What is "Pants on the ground"? I don't get it.
  16. I agree, those chicks were all kinds of fugly. I've seen uglier.
  17. I know the problems that come with it, but I still think the player should have final say not some commitee of players or non-players. With that said, IMO, they didn't do this because they felt he had a better career with Montreal, they did it for the nostalgia purposes, cause Dawson was reportedly wanted to be inducted in as a Cub. So they went against the player's wishes, which is why the decision should be the player and the player only.
  18. The Bears has gotten the ok to talk with Rodgers. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=4861505
  19. Jean Claude Van Damme winning an MMA or Rich Hill making the Cards out of spring training?
  20. I can't wait for him tossing up grapefruits for our hitters to smash.
  21. I think adding Tracy (who can play 1st, 3rd, and the corner OF) more the says Hoffpauir is gone. There's a chance that Fontenot could also go, if what Levine says is true that Theriot could be the Opening Day 2B with Castro at SS. Wtih Theriot/Baker/Castro/Blanco as you middle INF, then there would be no room for Fontenot. So if the Cubs do sign Tracy, then it affects two players, imo.
  22. I am so glad that the Rat Bast--- and spoiled brat are gone in succession, I suspect Tennessee getting themselves good coaches. If Tennessee ends up landing Sunseri you guys will be getting a really good coach. Hate to lose him, but would be happy for him getting a promotion.
  23. OMC, only you would post a picture of Terrance Cody without his shirt on. Unfortunately Cody will be battling his weight issues his whole career. But hey he has a national championship and is soon to be playing in the NFL. If he can get down from 400 LBs (from his JUCO days) to 350 lbs, he can drop 20 or so pounds he has packed on since the NCG.
  24. Very nice, backup plan. I prefer Rose/Johnson/Deng/Bosh/Noah. Is that doable under the cap? If so, I'll go with your lineup. Prolly would have to trade for Bosh now and work out a sign and trade in the offseason to make it happen. And chances are the Bulls have to trade Deng at some point to make it happen. But Johnson/Bosh is my dream for the offseason.
