  1. Me too. And everyone I know. I didn't shred him, because I never heard of him before the draft. But after watching him play, he seems to be a more athlethic version of Horace Grant.
  2. Man I was hoping Damon would sign with the White Sox, if for nothing else we would get to see who has the weaker arm; Damon or Pierre. Oh well.
  3. No, I gave my opinion, and that's that. I don't like NY, but people here are trying to convince me to like NY even tho I don't want. I was just saying, I don't give damn about what derwood thought about Bama.
  4. You mean like using a Big 10 diploma? His opinion of Bama is very unimportant unlike toilet paper.
  5. Ohhhh.............if I gave a damn about what you think about my home state, that might actually hurt. But siince your opinion of Alabama means no more to me then the toilet paper I use to whip my arse.......your opinion simply don't matter. And I might actually have to shoot you if you came into my home state. We don't need northern idiots lowering the IQ level of the south.
  6. Mike, as much as I have no love for Cleveland, I have less love for New York. It's bad enough that "The Raptist" headlines LA, we don't need LBJ headlining NY. I rather LBJ stay in Cleveland and the Bulls have to face him 4 times a year, instead of him going to NY.
  7. No, no, no we are not having this ridiculous conversation again. With the amount of money Lebron is making, he can have house is every friggin' state if he wants to. So living in NY (no matter how great NY is  ) does not equate to LBJ leaving Cleveland for NY, at least professional. LBJ will stay in Cleveland and nothing will change with his marketing.

  9. you have absolutely no idea if that's true or not I didn't mean to stat as fact, but call it reasonable deduction. Cleveland in the ECF/NBA Finals > playing at MSG.
  10. So does thinking NY has a leg up on the Bulls for free agency. NY has room for two max players and a roster full a D-League caliber players. If you think that won't cause max players to pause then you definately are naive. And if they don't land LBJ (right now, they have less the 5% chance of landing LBJ) I doubt they'll land Dwayne Wade. Which means NY's only hope to land LBJ is if the Cavs goes quietly and quickly in the playoffs. But this kind of talk is moot right now, since we are about 3 months away from anything happening.
  11. The Bulls are still a better spot then NY, imo. the knicks can now afford 2 max free agents, the bulls can only afford 1 Yeah, but they have the chicken and the egg paradox. For example: to land LBJ they have to land another max FA, but that said player won't sign with the Knicks unless they know LBJ has signed. So you have a vicious cycle going. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if the Knicks pull a Bull of 2000 and strike out on the major FA. Now I don't expect them to, as I think they'll end up with one of Amar'e/Boozer and someone like Joe Johnson.

  13. That seems to be the problem. Right now the only semi-confident trade that might happen will be Tyrus being traded. Hinrich and Salmons are prolly 50/50 right now.
  14. Assuming this rumor is true, I didn't realize they needed to unload so much salary for this summer. Without Kirk or Salmons, their committed money in 2010-11 is: Deng $11.3 million Rose $7 million Noah $3.1 million Johnson $1.7 million Gibson $1.1 million That's it. $24.2 million only. I just read somewhere that the salary cap is projected to drop to $50-$54 million next year. I wonder if that would allow 2 free agents. The luxury tax threshold is $70 million, which is where the Bulls salary is now. There are other sources that says that McGrady to the Knicks is "close to being finalized." So who knowss what is going on. Prolly won't know what's what till tomorrow night at the earliest.
  15. Yeah just because I don't think James White is the worst dunk contest winner, doesn't mean he is the correct choice. I do not like that midget and I don't think he should be given a godawful amount of mulligans just to show he can dunk. And illini, thank you for my new nickname.
  16. Arena Football League has a place and I enjoy watching it very much. NFL has substance, and the AFL is liking watching 60 minutes of fast break basketball, but I still enjoy the AFL.
  17. Oh yeah, forgot about Josh Smith. I'm not a huge Nate fan. As was already mentioned, I think it takes a lot away from the dunk when it takes more than two times to do it. I think those 3 and a rookie (I really like the dunk-in thing) would be nice. Agreed on Nate. IMO, Robinson might be the worst dunk contest winner in the history of the even. Heck, even Brent Barry is a more credible dunk contest winner than Nate.
  18. Keep in mind that rosters are frozen, so even "agreements" are fluid. I know the rosters are frozen, so rumors about the Hawks will preoccupy this thread. So I found it interesting, and it seems the Hawks are planning on not being quiet when the Olympics are over.
  19. Apparently this was heard on ESPN1000, but people on another site claim that they are talking about 2 deals they heard of over the weekend...1 involves Huet & Corey Crawford and the other rumor is the Hawks are looking to acquire a PF. One name that was already postulated amongst Hawks fans is Nathan Horton. I don't know how true this is, but interesting to kick off the 2 week break.
  20. r Yawn. Yeah that is not surprise, Texas usually have their classes wrapped up by summer time. So no surprise here.
  21. If the Celtics wouldn't trade Allen for them, why would they trade Allen for the Bulls's assorted collection of garbage? Because our assorted collection of garbage cost way less. Amare to Cleveland is being rumored to being close to done. Amare/Shaq didn't work in PHX, so I doubt it will work in Cleveland, so it happen. Shaq/Hickson, Shaq/Varejao, Z/Hickson, Z/Varejao has worked all year long. So, I think Mike Brown (and more importantly, LeBron James) will find a way to make it work. I know alot of Cavs fans are other sites are spewing out the "if we get Amare, we are a lock to win the championship" lines. While I don't think that is true, I do think itall but guarantees a minimum of EC Finals appearances.

  23. Damon is a huge injury and defensive liability at this point. And Granderson is pretty much a platoon CF at this point in his career. So you take the good with the flaws. damon's issues are much bigger than granderson not being able to hit lefties Maybe, maybe not, but for one year I would tolerate Damon's issues, especially considering that got a really solid deal for Granderson.
