  1. I don't know who told Jevan to leave Ole Miss after his junior year, but that person should be instantly fired from his circle.
  2. Come Hawks step on this bastards necks.
  3. If you don't like the Matt Schuab comparasion, how about Mark Brunell (5th rd), Matt Hasselbeck (6th rd), Aaron Brooks (4th rd), coincendently enough all three were drafted by the Packers during the Brett Favre era. I'm thinking the LeFevour pick is a page out of the Green Bay Packers playbook. Which isn't a bad thing. As for the Webb pick, can you say disingenuous? Angelo can say he address the OL without actually addressing the OL. I'm hoping for their lack of interests in upgrading the OL during the draft, I'm hoping they sign Faneca.
  4. I know it's not likely, but I'm hoping the Bears quickly snatches him up if he goes undrafted.
  5. Dan LeFevour=out of the league in two to three years. Yeah, I don't get that sentiment. How are the Bears going to develop him and flip him for added value? Is it going to be all the time he doesn't see on the field, or simply that Chicago Bear QB pedigree? How did Matt Schaub developed playing three years behind Michael Vick in Atlanta? It can happen, especially LeFevour in Martz's system, if Mike is there for multiple seasons. So I don't get the sentiment of those who say it can't happen. In the sixth round, I don't mind as much even tho like most I prefer the OL.
  6. Dan LeFevour=trade prospect in two to three years.
  7. If he develops nicely, I could see the Bears trading him for draft picks in a couple of years.
  8. Jason Campbell to Oakland for a 4th rd pick in 2012.
  9. All I know is that he was a projected 7th rd pick/UDFA. So I think the Bears reached on this pick.
  10. If he's there, I'd take Bruce Campbell. It's hard to pass up on his upside. PLus, the OL prospects are few and far between at this point. Other than that, I'm looking at CBs Dominique Franks and Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, and DEs Everson Griffen, Corey Wootten and Brandon Lang. Bears pick 11th in the 4th....this would be my draft board going into tomorrow: 1. Campbell 2. Franks 3. Griffen 4. Owusu-Ansah 5. Wootten 6. Geno Atkins 7. Selvish Capers 8. Lang 9. Reshad Jones 10 Al Woods 11 Perish Cox I'm really hoping for one of the first 4. I agree on Campbell. The Bears would have to be stupid to pass on a 1st rd talent in the fourth round in Campbell, but alas I could see any team picking in front of the Bears taking Campbell. Which means the Bears MIGHT have to trade up to get Campbell, Franks, or Griffen. But a Williams/Campbell bookend tackles would be pretty sweet, if both are developed nicely.
  11. Looking like re-signing Dempster was the right call, after all.
  12. Who are we hoping the Bears will draft tomorrow?
  13. Shipley to Cincinnati, Colt to Cleveland and their brothers are playing together at Texas. More things change, more they stay the same.
  14. Major Wright, I can dig that pick.
  15. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/04/bears-could-look-to-trade-a-linebacker.html
  16. If we get Turner and Brown this class will be much better than last years. Bama has been recruiting Brown hard, but the feeling is Brown won't leave Texas. I already have Brown as a Longhorn.
  17. I didn't want to even to start a new thread, so I am including it in here, but Skip Bayless on ESPN's First Take (or First and 10, whatever it's called) just said the Broncos took Tim Tebow to win the division. Bayless thinks Tebow will have that impact this year. He also said San Diego should be looking over their shoulders because Denver took Tebow. I couldn't help but laugh at the pure stupidity that is Skip Bayless. I agree with Jeremiah in that San Diego will not be looking over their shoulder because one of their chief rivals took a QB who is most likely going to be the 3rd string QB/h-back/TE with their first rd pick. Oh Skip, stop blowing Tebow.
  18. First: It was the Pirates. No offense to Jake, but wake me up when they outscore a legit mlajor league team 36-1. Second: There not facing Morton, Duke, and McCutchen, there facing Dempster, Lilly, and Wells. So I doubt the Brewers will even reach half those runs in this series.
  19. I think Joseph is a smokescreen. Angelo/Smith needs a player who can play in 2010 and there is no guarantees that Joseph would play significant time in 2010. I still think they are trying to target either a CB (to move Peanut to FS) or a FS like Burnett.
  20. Yeah, it was fun watching the Hawks dominate the Preds in the final period using Nashville's own strategy against them. That final period last night should tell Nashville that the Hawks can play Nashville's style of hockey, but the Preds cannot play the Blackhawks style of Hawkey. (Hawkey done on purpose.)
  21. Wrong thread for the post, my bad.
  22. Adam Schefter is predicting Anthony Davis for Oakland. Not sure if it will happen, but it wouldn't surprise me.
  23. That's who I'm thinking if this trade were to happen, and then I would assume St. Louis would or could take Clausen at 4, or one of the tackles.
  24. I don't know if this rumor has legs, but if this is a legit rumor St. Louis would be fools to not at least seriously consider this offer. You would get two players who help the defense right now, not to mention you could buy yourself at least 2-3 years to get yourself a QB with Campbell, and you can still draft for need at 4. Again I don't know if this has any legs to it, but St. Louis would be fools not to consider it.
  25. These night game suck. Can't wait for more day games.
