  1. So...meh. To be fair, he started the rally in Game 6. To be fair, he is awful at baseball. Apparently not as the Cubs found out that series.
  2. I say he has 2 more years of being elite, tops.
  3. Van Gundy (think it was him) just said that tonight allows Kobe to jump over Magic for greatest Laker ever. What the hell did Kobe do tonight that convinced you he was better than Magic? Nothing. Congrats to Kobe for doing something MJ never did.........and that's winning a Game 7 of the NBA Finals. But on the other hand, MJ never missed on an opportunity to close out an opponent. The Lakers didn't miss a chance to close out the Celtics. Unless you're taking about Kobe missing 425 shots tonight. I'm not comparing MJ to the Lakers, but MJ to Kobe who fancy himself as a MJ clone. And the after series party is the reason why the Lakers should be allow to win a championship. There fans don't know how to behave themselves.
  4. I'm not sure how to interpret this He's just jabbing at me, which is fine. I usually don't take anything from "Chunk" serious anyways.

  6. And what you are doing is reading WAY TOO MUCH between the lines. I was not judging anybody, sorry if you took it that way, but that's not what I meant. Wait, how am I reading between any lines? You flat out said that people who thinks this is funny have a weird sense of humor. That's a judgment call. I don't know why you're acting like that's a bad thing; if you think that people who find this funny are weird, hey, that's your call. Whatever man, moving on.......................................................................

  8. How's the weather up there on your high horse? This was a guy making a total jackass out of himself to the harm of nothing except his dignity. No high horse, all I am saying people who thinking making an ass out of yourself for the benefit of nothing is funny, have a weird sense of humor. I'm not judging, I'm simply making a statement. If that was the case then why encourage that behavior?
  9. I usually don't like t fantasy trades like that, but this one was too good to pass up. So essentially half of Stanley Cup Champion for the #1 pick. Sounds fair....
  10. http://hfboards.ca/showthread.php?t=787537 Ha..........never will happen.
  11. http://tamu.scout.com/2/978071.html Aggies fans are a wee bit upset of TAM President and AD about their decision to stay in the Texas 10 Conference. Maybe a "wee bit upset" isn't strong enough discription.
  12. Apparently the Hawks signed Mathis Olimb from Norway: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=4225&lang=en Sounds like a decent winger for the 3/4th lines.
  13. This is directy related to the Hawks fans who would like the Hawks to go after Price: http://www.rds.ca/hockey/chroniques/300918.html If it's still in French, it saying the Canadians have traded Jaroslav Halak to St. Louis. No word on who Montreal gets in return. Price is staying in Montreal.
  14. I hate the thought of trading Sharp cause he is one of the original players who started the Hawks road back to respectability, but if they get a good deal (ie high draft pick, 2nd rd, plus a top 6 prospect) I could see the Hawks making the trade. But I prefer they don't give players away for the sake of getting out of "Cap hell."
  15. Yeah, but I think you will see the Hawks bump Bolland up to 2nd Line Center and Sharp return to wing, if he is still here. Which leaves Dowell to center the checking line with Madden gone. Of course, there have been internet reports that the Hawks have signed or will sign Niklas Persson out of the Swedish league. If Persson has indeed signed he would be the 3rd line center and he would essentially replace Madden on the roster.
  16. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-cup/story/_/id/5297052/ce/us/south-african-man-killed-wife-kids-changing-tv-germany-australia-game&cc=5901?ver=us Wow. Just wow.
  17. I think that losing Nolasco was always the biggest reason to hate the Pierre trade. Losing Mitre and Pinto was just throwing salt in the wound. That and the fact that, at the time, all three players had substantially more value in a trade than netting a year of Juan [expletive] Pierre. It's amazing how much damage this one player has done to the Cubs. The 2003 NLCS, the stupid trade in 2006 and breaking up the no-hitter on Sunday. Juan [expletive] Pierre. I don't really remember Pierre doing much damage in the NLCS. .303/.343/.455/.797
  18. Yeah, but I think you will see the Hawks bump Bolland up to 2nd Line Center and Sharp return to wing, if he is still here.
  19. I agree. I like Buff, but there is a good chance that somebody might overvalue him and give the Hawks a solid enough package for Chicago pull the trigger. Whereas I think it takes basically a king's ransom to pry Sharp out of Chicago.
  20. Does every team have a man whore like Kane on their team?
  21. Absolutely yes. Moves have to be made, and they have to be made quickly. Let me ask you this Kyle, if trading Sharp means you keep Hammer, woud you trade Sharp?
  22. What an embarrassment that Wally Backman is. The only thing missing from the video is a director yelling "cut" and "print." I like a good ump/manager confrontation, that was neither funny or surprising. People who think that was funny have a weird since of humor, and imo he was hamming it up far more then it needed to be. By the end of that video I was hoping the ump would throw him out of the next day's game. What a pathetic display.
  23. So is it safe to assume that the Hawks will be the most active team at the draft?
