  1. These Hyundai commercials are weird. Its like "You could buy a Honda, but if you do we'll try and murder you"
  2. Olney put up an article about Kyle. Insider only, but here's the inro:
  3. It feels like hitters haven't chased his breaking pitches all year long.
  4. The pitch fx on Bumgarner on MLB.tv is ridiculous. Dude paints the edge of the strike zone like horsefeathering Picasso
  5. Speaking of goat boys, whatever happened to Sean Marshall?

  7. Didn't the swear filter on here sensor a word with "Bob Howry" at one point? What word was it?
  8. I just realized if you substitute the lyrics to the "Hey Dude" theme song for the lyrics in "Go Cubs Go" it still works.
  9. I don't know what to believe anymore... http://i.imgur.com/R90gHDs.png
  10. Or Mallee saw it, hoped Jason didn't, and went to him the next day and made the suggestion, and now Heyward is going to thank Mallee for fixing him by giving him a Ferrari or something.
  11. Hawk was right about one thing though, he's no Todd Frazier with the glove, thankfully.
  12. You know watching his AB's I think he may have seen the Derosa piece because I don't see him twisting his wrists on the bat anymore.
  13. lmao Costas going full grandpa on them and recounting some mickey mantle story like it would just blow their minds Bryzzo: wow uh. .... that's interesting thought the same exact thing lmao The worst part is that story had no relevance. All he did was tell them that Mantle hit behind Maris, as if anyone who grew up a baseball fan had no idea who the horsefeathers Roger Maris or Mickey Mantle ever were. There were no parallels other than the fact that Rizzo hits behind Bryant. If that's the connection he could've sat down with Tyler Flowers and Jace Peterson and said the same thing and it be just as meaningless.

  15. Good thing they have Dilson Herrera waiting in the wings to take over OH WAIT A MINUTE WHOOPS WE TRADED HIM FOR A GUY WITH A .552 OPS IN OUR UNIFORM
  16. I present to you the list of every major leaguer who has scored the Kris Bryant projected 136 or more runs in a season since 1937: 2011: Curtis Granderson (136) 2007: Alex Rodriguez (143), Jimmy Rollins (139) 2003: Albert Pujols (137) 2001: Sammy Sosa (146) 2000: Jeff Bagwell (152!), Todd Helton (138), Johnny Damon (136) 1999: Bagwell (143), Roberto Alomar (138) 1997: Craig Biggio (146), Larry Walker (143), 1996: Ellis Burks (142), A-Rod (141), Chuck Knoblauch (140), 1993: Leonard Dykstra (143) 1985: Ricky Henderson (146) 1982: Paul Molitor (136) 1970: Billy Williams (137) 1949: Ted Williams (150) 1948: Tommy Henrich (138) 1947: Johnny Mize (138) 1946: Ted Williams (142) 1942: T. Williams (142) 1939: Red Rolfe (139) 1938: Hank Greenberg (143), Jimmie Foxx (139) 1937: Joe Dimaggio (151), Rolfe (143), Lou Gehrig (138), Greenberg (137) So since 1980 only 18 people have scored 136 or more runs. Of those 18, 12 of them happened during the prime of the steroid/big offense era. So even during the steroid era when offense was at it's peak performance, scoring 136 runs was still not an easy thing to do. I stopped at 1937 because when they made changes to the ball in 1920 and offense changed forever, there was at least one, if not more, than one guy scoring well over 136 runs a season from like 1920-1937 each year and I got tired of typing them all down. Before 1920 in the deadball era the only guys scoring more than 136 runs were few and far between, but the only guys to do it between 1900 and 1920 were Ty Cobb (twice), Eddie Collins, Ginger Beaumont, Nap Lajoie, and Jesse Burkett.
