  1. Fantasy wise, I hope it's nothing, otherwise one of my fantasy teams is screwed... both A-Rod and Braun on that team. Cubs fan wise... I hope it ends his season
  2. How will you get there without the arm and the leg you graciously gave up in order to get that ticket?
  3. Thank atc, some of those jersey's ,especially up close, look like knockoffs, but it's close enough for me. If I ever end up getting some money I can waste I'll try buying one of these jersy's fro mthat lightinthebox site. If they end up looking like that, even if they are slightly off in a way, it's still money well spent in my opinion. $20 isn't much for a jersey with patches on it, even if it is fake (IMO)
  4. Thought I searched for him and didn't find him. PM'd a new one
  5. You probably won't find any websites for SK businesses offering knockoffs internationally, because unlike China, the SK government actually cares about and enforces international law. They just don't enforce much on local vendors selling inside of their country. If you're ever in Seoul, just ask a cabbie to take you to Itaewon. You'll find jerseys for just about any popular player you want around there. Their knockoffs can be pretty hard to tell from the real ones. Hmm. I actually have a friend who is trying to go to Korea to teach. I may need to give her a couple hundred bucks and a list of players whose jerseys I want if she gets the gig
  6. Didn't feel like making a separate thread since it's pretty much the same identical situation, but Gary Matthews Jr has said he'd waive his no trade clause since he's penciled in as the 5th outfielder for the Angels... Such wise investments
  7. I was going to reply "Of course, why wouldn't he be" and then read the news reports of his mysterious lack of velocity. That's weird. I would assume they'd keep him at closer for now but unless he finds his velocity I would think they'd move him out of the role not too long after the start of the season. That's just my own speculation though
  8. as good as marmol is, it's awfully absurd to suggest that there haven't been just as good, if not better, setup men than him. You're going to have to refresh my memory of set up men that were better than 210 K's in 150 IP and era+ or 326 and 167 over their first two full seasons. K-Rod qualifies as a equal and who else as better or equal? If Joey Devine is even half as good as he was last year he'll be absurd. He posted a 685 ERA+ last year
  9. Oh and that site is a dead link. I assume you meant this one: http://www.jersey101.com
  10. That would be awesome atc. I don't suppose there's a korean website like this one we're discussing that you know sells the same kind you've bought for sure, would you? I'd love to get jerseys of other star players not on the Cubs to hang/frame in a sports room. But yeah, I'd like to see some pics of the jersey's you've bought. It will give me a little peace of mind if I choose to purchase one of these knowing that they will look decent
  11. Most of the jerseys have the wrong numeric typefaces as well. Stands out like a neon sign. True, but to someone who doesn't care about it and just wants something to show their support/love for the team, it could be useful.. bu yeah, some of them look like hijacked images from reputable sites and then some look like screen printed crap. Regardless, I'm still curious to see if they're, at the very least, decent enough to wear and not have them fall apart on you. I've always wanted to have like a sports room whenever I move into my own place, and if this site sells knock off authentics with patches I could care less if the typeface isn't accurate, it'll still look nice on a wall
  12. Not sure if it has been posted here yet, but this is Baseball Intellect's Top 15 prospects: 1. Josh Vitters 2. Andrew Cashner 3. Ryan Flaherty 4. Jay Jackson 5. Dae-Eun Rhee 6. Starlin Castro 7. Hak-Ju Lee 8. Wellington Castillo 9. Brandon Guyer 10. Tyler Colvin 11. Steve Clevenger 12. Micah Hoffpauir 13. Junior Lake 14. Tony Thomas 15. Alessandro Maestri Prospects 1-5 Prospects 6-15
  13. Let us know if it looks okay. Unless I plan on getting it autographed (which I wouldn't since I can't), I could care less about authenticity. If they look solid and are of decent build quality, I'd order one in a heartbeat
  14. I remember when a throwing error was made on a Juan Pierre ground ball that one of the announcers (not sure if it was a WGN, ESPN, or visiting team telecast) said that they should create a stat category called "Errors Created" because Juan Pierre's speed causes players to throw over aggressively and quicker than normal and it causes them to make mistakes. #-o
  15. Can't mods just override user posts and delete them from the thread? That'd be gnarly if this gets out of hand again. I'm tired of having multiple threads, and I miss the mammoth one we had a couple months ago. On the topic of Peavy, if our team this year ends up being in a position where we don't really need Jake Peavy to win, do we still do the trade? I'd think at this point he'd be a luxury to have, not a necessity. Then again I can see them trading for Peavy and letting Harden walk at the end of the season and (hopefully) getting some draft picks in return for him. That being said, I still hope we get him. I'll miss Vitters if it happens though. Here's hoping Hendry can pull of a miracle trade and get Peavy without giving up Vitters (not gonna happen though)
  16. Holy crap, that's insanity. I feel bad for Tabata now knowing that he was deceived and scammed and dragged into all this craziness. Poor kid
  17. 66 home runs in 66 games is pretty impressive
  18. Rotoworld provided a little more info... Yay Manatee County! My hometown.
  19. I think the biggest problem you got is your closers, especially since Sherrill will likely only keep the closer role maybe a month or two before Ray steps in. Sherrill and Wilson are quite possibly the two worst closers in baseball. Your outfield might be a little suspect because you only have one fill-ion in Cameron Maybin. Magglio should produce nicely and Sizemore is awesome. Hunter will probably a pleasant player to have even though he won't dazzle anybody with his numbers. Your infield is solid, unless Huff decides to revert back to his "Just kidding I actually suck" phase. I like your SP. Lincecum and Liriano should keep it stacked and Dempster and Garza be relatively effective. The others are questionable due to age/injury/experience, but over all those 4 pitchers should keep your pitching near the top, IMO.
  20. Yeah I don't make trades unless I absolutely have to. I don't draft my team with the intention of trading players I draft to help me elsewhere. That can come back to bite you in the rear. Some guy in another one of my leagues drafted one starter and 7 closers and was immediately hocking them off on people. No one has bothered with him yet
  21. Take Lincecum if he's available :)
  22. Ouch. Yeah, he's overpaying for saves that's for sure. You're raking it with this trade. Nice work
  23. That guy must be desperate for saves. Morneau could very well bounce back and hit 30 home runs again. The total drop off in production between him and Braun won't severe enough to make you not do this. Lincecum is key. Heck, I might even consider trading Pujols and Nathan for Morneau and Lincecum
  24. I'll put mine in spoiler tags to save space
