So who will they opt to trade? And who can we realistically get in return for some of these relievers? -
I don't know. A lot of it depends on whether or not Crawford starts hitting the ball well again and whether or not Upton finds his power stroke again. Either way, Upton and Crawford should be good for at least 30 steals a piece. If they continue to be mediocre I'd say it's a wash. I think at this point Upton is a little better than Crawford and Aramis is a better overall hitter than Pena, though Pena will hit more HR and RBI. I don't know. At this point I'd say it's a wash, but it's not a bad trade by any stretch of the imagination. Seems pretty fair to me

Marco Scutaro and Freddy Sanchez need to stop being good. They're ucrrently sitting at -13 and -11. MY two best (or worst, hwoever you choose to look at it) are Kris Benson, with +17 and (sadly) Felix Pie with +10

i believe there were 7 hrs in the 2 exhibition games vs the cubs, as well. If those numbers aren't a fluke and the new stadium really is a launching pad, A-Rod is gonna rake in that ballpark

I thought Ellis Burks was park of that...or was that a few years later? That was 96. They did it again in 97, which I'm assuming is the last time since they're playing the Rockies., Don't see why it would be any other team that isn't related ot the game being played

Answer to the Aflac trivia question, I'm pretty sure, is the 1997 Colorado Rockies. Gallaraga hit 41, Castilla hit 40, and Walker hit 49. Bicehtte only hit 28 or something

I think Delwyn Young could become a pretty serviceable outfielder if he's given enough playing time. He's got decent power potential, granted he's gonna be 28 by the end of the year. Sounds like he was a relatively cheap acquisition. I think this is a brilliant move by the Pirates, personally. They should play him every day. It's not like any of the other guys they got in that spot are going to amount to anything. Might as well give him a shot and see how he responds -

Cameron Maybin vs. Travis Snider vs. Adam Jones

I picked up Maybin on a hunch, and now Maybin has been a real disappointment so far this season. I know his skillset is far superior, but he reminds me of Felix Pie for some reason. No statistical or physical comparison to come up with this, just a feeling. I'm very close to dropping him, but I'm gonna let him dwell on the bench for another week and see how he does before I give him the boot and take Snider. Jones his hitting the ball well, but not producing very much at this point. -
I don't know his contract situation but I can't see anyone wanting to stay in Seattle so it probably ain't a big deal if he has one. He doesn't have a NTC http://mlbcontracts.blogspot.com/ - Bookmark this site. One of the most useful MLB reference sites on the internet
