  1. \:D/ Nice 2-0 home win for Bruges over Partizan Belgrade today. Everton were destroyed by Benfica: 5-0
  2. Indeed - and a good start to fixing the offensive struggles of the team.
  3. But ... but .... but he threw a shutout on 09/24 in 2003.
  4. A move by the Cubs that makes sense - I hope that is a good omen.
  5. The goal was a fluke as well. Podolski had a big grin on his face after he scored, because he knew how silly it looked on TV
  6. At least he will recover. I'm having flashbacks to 8th may last year, when François Sterchele, striker for Club Brugge and the Belgian national team, died in a nightly car crash.
  7. lol at Zambrano on that roster - he'll probably make a token appearance somewhere to greet his home fans.
  8. Germany book their ticket to South-Africa by winning 0-1 in Russia. I watched the last half hour of that game live on ZDF (that's a German TV channel) and their commentator was being very honest about how lucky they were (including calling a 85th minute penalty that the ref denied to the Russians).
  9. Looks like Gooch wasn't even on the bench this weekend.
  10. Not that anyone here cares, but Club Brugge just beat their arch-rivals Anderlecht 4-2 to go top of the league. :D Can't wait to see the highlights of that one
  11. Game over - well deserved win for team USA. I thought they did a good job controlling the game.
  12. 4-1 USA !!! (assist by Jeffrey 8-) after good interference work by him)
  13. If indeed it was intended as a shot. The goalkeeper did look silly on it though. 3-1 after a Cameroon penalty, but near the end.
  14. Jeffrey any good? I don't know much about him. Young and learning. Has potential as a hard worker in midfield, but still a lot of mistakes in his passing. ETA: his new coach at Brugge (Adrie Koster) should be ideal, as his previous position was with Young Ajax.
  15. 2-0 now. Brilliant throughpass by Jeffrey (Club Brugge 8-) ) to set up the chance.
  16. USA up 1-0 at half time against Cameroon in the U20 World Cup.
  17. That dude with the Pirates cap on seems familiar. :-k
  18. So you admit you pull the same quality of women. 8-) Tip of the cap to you, sir.
  19. The question is: what would be the purpose of that? If indeed Bradley refused to play when asked to, such a grievance could backfire easily.
  20. Procedural question: can stuff like that be a reason to put a guy on the DL? Because that would have been a more elegant way out of this mess, obtaining the same result (getting Bradley out of the clubhouse for the rest of the season).
  21. Andorra? Maybe I'll defect. Well if someone hits a home run in Andorra it's likely to end up in a different country. 8-) It probably won't happen, since Andorra isn't listed on the Confederation of European Baseball website, which suggests no baseball is played there.
  22. Yeah, I've had to log in a lot more often too and i'm using the domain name. There's an elite list of users that Tim forces to log in just to annoy them. 8-) Just kidding - using the domain logs me in automatically every time, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. What browser/version are you guys using?
  23. Our french language public TV station (RTBF) has said that Henin is also planning a comeback. They concluded this from the fact that she's ordered 14 new rackets.
  24. "Not winning" may be an understatement. That team wiil net the Cubs a very high draft pick in 2011, which, granted, does fit in with your rebuilding idea. Interesting as your idea may be, it won't happen.
