What? Now the Budweiser house too? Nearly every single building back there has been replaced, raised, releveled, rehabbed etc.. Is this a good spot for me, a guy who has been going to Cubs game for 35 years to complain about what is going on at Wrigley? Or should I take this to rants? Wrigley was such an awesome, casual, lazy-day, hanging out place to go watch a game when I grew up 6 blocks away. But now the tourist trapness and the moneymaking endevours drives me crazy. The whole Wrigley backdrop now(bleachers, behind the park, the scoreboard, etc...) is about moneymaking. I guess it's progress, and I guess it's inevitable and understandable. It's what they have to do to field a winning team. I still love the place and it's one of my favorite places on earth, but the Wrigley experience isn't the same as it used to be.
