    That is pretty much how the baseball world worked, and failed, for decades before smart people supposedly figured out better ways to do things. The age old "Scouts vs. some vague thing Kyle started saying" debate. No, the "people who have seen him play a weekend series say it is so" and "I read a vague quote about it 2 years ago and assume both that it was accurate and that it is still true". But Kyle isn't basing his argument off anything. He's just decided that he doesn't want Almora's defense to be good, so he's making that declaration. Even "saw him play a weekend series" is more valid than whatever Kyle is doing.

    Only if we can swap Ricketts for Reinsdorf. I was gonna say only if we get Hahn and they get stuck with Epstein/Hoyer. Oh geez. If the situation were reversed you'd pine so hard after Epstein and Hoyer being just across town.

    You have to remember that the average person who would follow heyman on twitter probably isn't very tuned in to the draft. So this could be breaking news for many people. Which is fine. Aww man, let me have my fun. I'll allow it.

But there's a difference between reasonable criticism and literally every post being doom and gloom, in every forum and thread. It's so tiresome by this point. Well at least you are literally pointing a realistic portrait of reality. I do think literally every post from Kyle is doombonering.

    Which scenario would ultimately bring Kyle more joy? Scenario A: This front office fails to make the playoffs before 2019 and everyone gets fired Scenario B: The Cubs win the World Series in 2018 I have my guess.
