  1. Deng is awesome. People should stop complaining about the contract. Sure he's a little overpaid, but he's a stud defender, an efficient scorer and a solid rebounder. The fact that he can now knock down the occasional 3 is just an added bonus and its really opened things up for him. When he's the fourth-best player on your team, you have a really good team.
  2. I can't tell if you're talking about Rob Neyer or Al Yellon.
  3. Yeah, I totally agree. I hate seeing Al Yellon presented like he's the representative voice of Cubs fans.
  4. Maybe it's just me, but when you do statistical analysis on the season, and that analysis indicates things in such a way that you actually conclude "Landry Fields is a much better guard than Derrick Rose", I'd probably look into revising the analysis, or at least call into question the results. His metric also ranks Rose behind Jason Kidd, who is shooting 34 percent this year and averaging 8 points a game.
  5. :-k Someone can be fat and still be athletic.
  6. SUCK IT RONDO!!!!!!* He didn't want to start anyway. Did he know that passing this off won't go toward his assist total?
  7. http://www.tmz.com/2011/01/27/jay-cutler-kristin-cavallari-chicago-bears-los-angeles-the-grove-shopping-walking-quaterback-tough/ Since strolling through L.A. and playing football against 300 pound guys are similarly taxing tasks, I can see why this is such a big story.
  8. Weak. Good it was a cheapshot. Shouldn't have even been a penalty. Hit his shoulder, glanced into the helmet.
  9. I think LeBron and Wade are going to split votes. Plus I think there will be some people who just won't vote for a Heat player. At this point, I think Dwight Howard should win it. He's having an amazing year and he certainly qualifies under that muddled "remove him from his team and see where they'd be" argument. Rose is really, really close behind though, in my mind. If he can pick up his shooting a bit in the second half and the Bulls end up winning 55-58 games, which seems likely, he'll have as good of an argument as anyone. It does seem a little weird that the top 4 MVP candidates are all in the East.
  10. Does anyone really think some PR flack is going to control what the coaches and player do during the middle of a game?
  11. We're not the ones who forced you to come into the Bears thread and gloat about the Packers win.
  12. Seriously, why?
  13. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned Knox giving up on passes. Saw this and thought it illustrated the point nicely, from Pro Football Focus-
  14. If Cutler really wanted to go back in, they should have let him. So if we're not blaming Cutler, we should be blaming Lovie for thinking he had a remote chance in hell of winning with Todd Collins or Caleb Hanie.
  15. Olin could make some extra cash in the offseason renting himself out as an MRI machine.
  16. This will turn out well. Fans burning Cutler jerseys in the parking lot. http://s3.amazonaws.com/twitpic/photos/full/229830185.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=0ZRYP5X5F6FSMBCCSE82&Expires=1295827413&Signature=ZBw5KsCUfyKPMUaToNubcE%2BeU6s%3D
  17. Probably pulling himself out of the NFC Championship game when things get a little rough.
  18. That's dumb, but only because there isn't a better alternative. But I'd bet there are guys in the locker room wondering about Cutler coming out.
  19. Philip Rivers played the AFC Championship with a torn ACL. McNabb once played with a broken leg. Sorry if it sounds meatbally, but if Cutler can stand up, he gives the Bears a better chance to win than Collins or Hanie. This won't go well for him. This isn't Detroit man! This is the Super Bowl!
  20. Yeah, what's up with the board today? You ruined it.
  21. Oh, I get it. It's not actually a huge move.
  22. yeah yeah yeah
  23. Because right or wrong, most fans still judge players based on actual on-field results. And Wells didn't produce very good results last year.
