  1. @TomtheBombadil how many years have you been pushing for Tucker?
  2. am I nuts to think Paredes and Smith wouldn't need another prospect attached?
  3. you click on the arrow in the top right corner and it takes you to the thread, from a month ago, where TT explained why the Fangraphs roster resource is where his numbers come from. Since you were having this same argument a month ago
  4. not looking forward to watching him pitch against the Cubs... he'll fit right in on the Brewers
  5. I wonder if they feel like Smith (or Paredes) has the versatility to play elsewhere (1B for Paredes? OF for Smith?) that it would be worth it
  6. Trading both of Seiya and Paredes seems foolish, trading both AND a top prospect is a crazy overpay for a guy only under contract for this year
  7. soooo soft
  8. Michael Busch and Brandon Birdsell? Caissie and Assad?
  9. I'd be fine with Warren and Poles both being shown the door. Warren might as well be sitting across from these guys...
  10. If they're confident in an extension, I don't think there's a prospect the Cubs have that I wouldn't include for Tucker.
  11. ah yes, the face of the Diamondbacks franchise who put up almost 7 WAR last year and is owed $59M over the next 4 years... surely he's available!
  12. that statement is as dumb as Jed's. Who cares if he's a DH, he'd be the best in the league by a mile
  13. Carter Hawkins looks like the frat bro nobody liked but they put up with because his parents had a lake house they got to use and then grew up to be like a junior partner at a law firm that has no plans of ever moving him up.
  14. That's an unreal sum of money... and he's probably worth it (inasmuch as any athlete is "worth" that kind of money)
  15. This team is embarassing. Poles doesn't deserve to pick another coach. He picked Eberflus last offseason, gtfo.
  16. At least we know they've been pretty active in trade discussions
  17. Pat shouldn't make it past the 3rd round. Not only is he a good receiver, he can block too. Makes contested catches, good after the catch, and a great dude.
  18. Yeah, Shaw isn't untouchable for me - but I think he's (going to be) good enough that I only want him moved for a Gilbert/Kirby type of pitcher - maybe Miller if we don't have to give up much else.
  19. In a reply, he mentions Crochet to Cubs, Hoerner to Seattle. Prospects to Sox
  20. I'd want a bit more of a track record if we're giving up Shaw for a pitcher.
