  1. let's hope it turns out like the last time they thought they had a series won inside the last couple minutes and went to OT instead
  2. Toews can end it with a win here
  3. I don't think it's as clear a penalty as the announcers are saying. He may have gotten away with one but it didn't look too bad
  4. that hit on Shaw looked awfully high...
  5. those two missed chances from Hossa looking mighty costly right now
  6. thought he was drafted as an infielder too..
  7. such a good chance from Hossa
  8. Goodson and Holden have names that sound like the they'd fit in with the prep school lacrosse bros
  9. i was checking out the letsgowings forum earlier and was a little disappointed by the schadenfreude material. this makes up for it Thanks for this. I had no idea that Crawford played so poorly. Or that Quincey didn't deserve a penalty on the play that negated Hjammer's GWG
  10. That seriously could not have been a worse call at a worse time
  11. right call my butt... Saad didn't do jack. He got bumrushed and pushed back, that's it
  12. so let me get this straight, the Red Wings decide to goon it up and it gets a Blackhawks goal waved off?
  13. are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!
  14. Wedge's slash lines in his miserable 4 seasons in the bigs .233.340 .430 .770 9 seasons in the minors .249.347.443.790 He's a manager. Baseball is a strange business. What's your point? A good amount of coaches/managers are guys who were average-to down right awful at the top level of their sport before getting into coaching. My assumption is he meant the guy's numbers were quite dependent on a solid walk rate that kept his OBP quite respectable despite an awful AVG. But then he goes out and downplays the value of patience, which is similar to a lot of other anti-sabr people. Kinda like Joe Morgan, whose great walk rate provided value that people such as Joe Morgan the analyst don't value
  15. If Houston takes one of the other top guys and the Cubs take Appel as would be expected, do you see it as being a good thing that Stanford's season is over? To me, it keeps him from any crazy pitch counts the rest of the way and if he signs early (which wouldn't seem likely but is possible I suppose) he could make a decent number of pro (minor league, obviously) appearances late summer.
  16. great patience from Handzus
  17. i keep Bickell on the ice so that he can bodyslam zetterberg next absolutely, he's had a heckuva game
  18. is there a point at which you keep Kane, Toews, etc. off the ice as much as possible to avoid any ugly hits on them?
  19. crap Bolland... stop being an idiot
