You would think they would lose to OSU, but here we are Hey I'm rooting for you guys at least as someone who can lessen the downside of potentially losing to OSU. I still don't get how the team we absolutely curbstomped earlier this year is in a position to win the division but I guess they must have gotten a lot better since then. That was the last game Penn State lost. I declared that they might not win another game all year after that embarrassment, but something clicked and they're rolling. Hopefully they don't poop the bed against Sparty

So I should just accept that should Penn State win the Big Ten and the B1G championship game, they will still be bypassed by OSU for the playoffs.

But is 2 more years, even at that age, for $12M a year really that big of a risk or a bad thing compared to 2/40? I'm pretty sure I'd rather 4/64 than 2/40. Esp since you can backload further on 4 years. That's why I never understand these let's go shorter term on a way inflated AAV ideas. Wouldn't you rather have a shorter (or majorly front loaded) deal knowing all your young stars have enormous paydays coming in 3-5 years? Why would you backload a contract?

I like him. He was great as the MC at Cubs Convention. Seems like he'd fit in well with the current crop of players as well

that's exactly where I am. The regular season was fun for about 110 games and then it was boring until October, where it was non-stop crazy and a perfect capper. I need a break before I'm committed to anything (including my family) like that again. If they make it again next year, I need to take the week off. 4 hours of sleep per night really effed me up -

Ok I got a bit misty over this one. Also it's been 4 days and I still get emotional over this. "[some bad thing happened] but the Chicago Cubs won the World Series so I'm happy again." That was damn good. Damn good

How are the Cardinals supposed to compete when they're only spending ~$150 million? And his comment about the Cubs not drafting/developing players just shows that he doesn't really follow baseball very closely. Basically, he wants the Cubs to win by acquiring and developing "mid-level players". LOL. if you don't have bad players, then you can't be a great team. everyone knows that. Titles only count if your roster if full of David Freese and Matt Adams
