    Addison Russell - SS - Cubs Addison Russell (shoulder) could be held out of the Cubs' lineup again Friday. Russell was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to right shoulder soreness which he said had gradually gotten worse over the past week. It's an issue that he dealt with at times last season, as well. "With the type of soreness I have in my shoulder, I think throwing is putting gas on the fire," Russell said Wednesday. "But I got work done, I didn't throw (Wednesday), and it feels better right now than it did when I woke up. That's a good thing." Javier Baez will fill in at shortstop if Russell is unable to go for Friday's series opener in St. Louis.

    The Ducks have been good every year for a while but I'd be hard pressed to name you 2 players on that team. I mean just completely off the radar WTF? Getzlaf, Kesler and Perry are pretty much household names in the hockey world. Eaves and Vermette probably on that next tier down. I don't watch must Western Conference hockey. I'm not saying they don't have good players, I'm just saying that they're sort of a forgotten team when I think of which teams are perennially good
