  1. literally anyone? Dusty Baker it is
  2. They must really really really hate Ian Happ
  3. These are unearned runs, so they don't really count. Everything is fine
  4. If only we scored 10 runs/game instead of 9.3 runs/game everything would be fine what are you even arguing I'm not arguing anything. I was on the "sign Harper bandwagon" along with everyone else. But in the very small sample size of the 2019 season, I don't think Harper in the lineup would have made up for the laughably bad pitching
  5. Oof, Almora's OPS is nearly 200 points higher than Schwarber's vs.L . Schwarber's career SLG vs.L is .315
  6. More people liked this post than actually criticized the deal. It was mostly just one really loud person
  7. who is doing that? Well since pretty much all managers suck (or the good ones are gainfully employed), who are the candidates who would be an improvement on Maddon, either mid-season or in 2020?
  8. Why are people actively rooting for Maddon to be replaced with a significantly worse manager?
  9. It's butt, because signing a baller hitter would ideally give the Cubs at least a bit more freedom to maybe work out some kind of a trade for a non-butt pitcher. If only we scored 10 runs/game instead of 9.3 runs/game everything would be fine
  10. It's butt, because signing a baller hitter would ideally give the Cubs at least a bit more freedom to maybe work out some kind of a trade for a non-butt pitcher. Not to mention like .... what pitcher did you want them to sign anyway, keuchel? I didn’t want them to sign any pitchers.
  11. I really don't want every Cubs game to look like a Big XII football game
  12. Last year was the first season in MLB history where the league recorded more strikeouts than hits In 2008, there were 11,000+ more hits than strikeouts
  13. Cubs on pace to score 1532 runs and go 54-108
  14. What’s the record for team with the most runs scored but finished below .500? 8.5 runs/game and 1-2 record lololol
  15. Except it won't, because they clearly don't care about winning and NOT signing Harper means they pocket more money. These losses don't even register with the Ricketts. The fans suffer and Tom makes money. Where's the schadenfreude?
  16. It really doesn't though Gonna have to agree with 17 Seconds here. It makes me feel a lot better. Whatever you have to tell yourself...
  17. i understand following the brewers and cardinals, but why do we need to keep track of their good players' numbers? like why would i want to know every time yelich hits a home run Just start a “crying about Yelich and Goldschmidt” thread
  18. He’s just eating them St. Louis-style
  19. All of these player extensions are perfect the ownership's plans. 1) Make free agency unbearable for the players 2) Make players think that team-friendly extensions are WAAAYY better than hitting the open market 3) PROFIT
