  1. True, but there are several in the league, and calling that play a "14/10" is ridiculously hyperbolic
  2. Here's a thing I don't understand about basketball. I see a relatively slow guy dribbling down the court making a bit of a goofy move to his left and throwing up an awkward shot that happens to go in. What about this play am I missing? Right, I feel like this play happens 5 times a game in every game.
  3. what other message board are you on? i know the cubs twitter idiots probably are, but you don't go on twitter so I check in on the comments of Bleacher Nation posts whenever I want to see what the rabble thinks about the team
  4. And the message board rubes are still clamoring for him to bat leadoff this year
  5. Robot umps or bust
  6. If you get the final out of the World Series, you have to face the first two batters on Opening Day for the next season. If the pitcher dies in the off season, the team is contracted (sorry, Cardinals)
  7. It really is, it fundamentally changes things. Not that I'd want this either, but it's especially dumb that the pitcher has to face at least 3 batters, but there are no restrictions on how many pinch-hitters you can use in one inning. This rule 100% favors the offense
  8. The three batter minimum is the worst idea ever
  9. Is that first head to the left of Tommy IMB!?
  10. To be fair, half the time I'm responding to Mojo, and who knows what the horsefeathers he's talking about most of the time
  11. I hated the misuse of LaTroy Hawkins, but I don't remember if I also hated LaTroy Hawkins himself
  12. Yes, I really should have gone to the police with this airtight tip from an internet stranger. pretty sure that's not what he meant Yeah, doy, no kidding
  13. I thought that dude was still around, but I guess not. Also: guess you should have listened to him. Yes, I really should have gone to the police with this airtight tip from an internet stranger.
  14. Remember EhDubya? He had the info on Jerry Sandusky over a year before the news broke From my PM's:
  15. I didn't do this at all last year, and you see where that got us? IN
  16. Playing their way out of the top 5 picks would be so dumb
  17. I walked right by you http://www.basenotes.net/editorialimages/originals/Halloween2016/Hannibal%20Carousel.gif
  18. I logged into the archive and found PM’s where Jersey was apparently stalking me at the jersey shore
  19. That looks mighty balk-y
  20. I think I still have some of those
  21. we've been reduced to arguing about the opt-outs that the contract of the player we didn't sign doesn't have
  22. But it seems to me that from the player's side, if they are really really good for the first 3 years, they are going to opt out for more money, and you are likely to lose that awesome player. If they suck, they are NOT going to opt out, and then you're on the hook for the rest of the contract (see: Jason Heyward) if jason heyward's contract had no opt outs would he still be here, yes or no Sure, but that's hindsight. The opposing argument would be: If jason heyward had been in the top 3 for MVP every year, would he still be here, yes or no?
