  1. You mean like not completely lying about them? yeah, that would be a pleasant change
  2. This is the jersey I'm buying this year: http://www.statecollegespikes.com/images/uniforms_19.jpg
  3. You would 1. Pierre CF 2. Walker 2B 3. Lee 1B 4. Ramirez 3B 5. Barrett C 6. Murton LF 7. Jones RF 8. Cedeno SS
  4. You want how I would bat them or how Dusty will bat them?
  5. Isn't it sad to see guys like Vina and Appier just try to hang around late in their careers? Can't anybody retire with dignity anymore?
  6. Yes, a batter can change his swing. Look at what Jeff Pentland did with Sosa. Lowered his hands, got him to stop moving the bat around while waiting for the pitch, etc. Or look at Cal Ripken over the years. He seems to have a completely different batting stance every other year or so.
  7. My biggest worry is that the Panthers absolutely shut down Tiki Barber, and Barber >>>>>> Thomas Jones. Without a good running performance, Grossman could be exposed. Here's hoping I'm wrong
  8. any OL help PSU can get would be great, since 4 of the 5 starters were Sr.'s this year. If Posluszny stays, they have him as a Sr. next year and Connor as a Jr., so the LB situation is solid. OL and DB's are where PSU needs the immediate help. Oh, and DE, as both Hali and Rice are gone
  9.
  10. Derivative: How much wood could a Kerry Wood carry if a Kerry Wood could carry wood?
  11. No, the Cubs being the Cubs ended any chance of getting Tejada
  12. Hendry has too much manlove for Barrett. He was his little pet project, "rescued" from the dregs of Montreal/Oakland to come into his own in Chicago. No way he gets traded.
  13. "Yes, Jim, just one question regarding this off season so far: WHY? Thank you, I'll hang up and listen to the answer."
  14. And in a game this important, why can't they tap into the network replay feeds? This year's NFL Draft ought to be interesting. I think Tamba Hali is a top 10-15 pick. Early indications are that Posluszny has ligament damange (perhaps 2 of the 3 knee ligaments). He gets an MRI today.
  15. laguna beach girl?? He was dating some chick from that crappy Laguna Beach show on MTV.
  16. Alright, time for bed. Great thread guys! Let's hope the Bears can get it done in a few weeks. Sad to think that football is ending soon. Guess we have Spring Training to look forward to. Oh wait, it's the Cubs, never mind.
  17. That's what I said earlier. Which LB was spying Young all game? Apparently no one
  18. hahahaha The shock smiley is the best smiley ever! Sorry, had to do it
  19. yeah i saw that too. Me and my buddies pretty much said the same thing about him. USC's offense did a great job against Texas' defense, but they did not lose the game. Vince Young stepped up and won it. Why couldn't Leinart just man up to Texas and say they played one hell of a ballgame? Man, and I thought Leinart was a decent guy. Although Young was being a jerk for saying whose the real Heisman. Bush is. He won it. Come back next year and win it. That's true. Bush deserved to win the Heisman no doubt, and is without question the better pro prospect.
  20. The NFL playoffs are going to suck after this bowl season.
  21. Sorry. I hate it when someone loses and then doesn't give any credit to the team that won. "They didn't beat us, we lost." STFU dude. (not you, Leinart)
  22. agreed. The NFL and NBA don't come close to matching the intensity of college football and college basketball. Winning for a school/students always trumps winning for a city (read: winning for cash) Meanwhile college baseball doesn't get a large enough following. Probably because the powerhouse programs aren't in major cities (or the east coast)
  23. Probably. But then again there are not that many VYoung's or Michael Vick's around. I wonder what would happen if Bush was a QB on his HS team instead of RB, and was recruited as a QB? I don't think there will be a movement. While there will be players like Vick and Young, they will be rare and being QB is a very difficult position. Throwing the ball accurately is really hard. Micheal Robinson is an example of a very athletic WR moved to QB, and while he has had some success, he probably won't make a big splash in the NFL, at least not as a QB, but I could see him moved back to WR. True. As long as NFL offenses aren't open to the option/QB as a runner scheme, these types will likely be relegated to college only.
  24. Leinart is saying that USC lost (instead of Texas won). What a prick. Hope he knocks up that Laguna Beach chick and gets gential herpes.
