  1. two lefty pitchers facing lineups with righthanded power. Another slugfest?
  2. For all the hating by the media on the White Sox, I really don't see the Red Sox pitching doing so hot recently. We'll see how Chicago fares in Fenway however...
  3. I lived in Chicago for 13 years before moving here 6 months ago. I just find that hating on other teams is more of a Sox fan thing to do...
  4. my last post was about the game...
  5. Responding? Who addressed you in the first place? I think my anger over this situation was well expressed. Either you're lying or you're just dense. Forget I said anything. I can't figure out why you're so mad. Maybe I'm a dense liar. You know best.
  6. Here come the BoSox. Count on the White Sox to figure out how to lose.
  7. which was both funny and accurate btw.
  8. The tailagting at Beaver Stadium is awesome. I can vouch for LSU's as well. LSU does have the advantage, however, of playing almost all of their home games at night. Longer tailgate party almost always equals better tailgate party. We never did much tailgating growing up, as we lived less than a mile from Beaver Stadium and would just walk to the games.
  9. In other news, why does your avatar look like a cropped photo of Kyle McLachlan getting "pleasured"? Completely unprovoked, posted for no reason other than to antagonize in a heated situation. Feel free to do what you like, just don't blame me for "starting" stuff. Sorry, didn't know you were in a "heated" state of mind. Those two quotes are totally unrelated. The first was responding to people who were trying to paint a 99 win Sox team as a fraud. The second was an unrelated and competely tangential joke based on your new avatar. It wasn't meant to provoke you in any way. I just think it's a funny looking avatar.
  10. Perhaps. And perhaps the 3 million+ attendance every year will forever act as a roadblock to proactive management, but if the Cubs have no one to share in their misery.... Plus, all the stupid "curse talk" holds less weight than ever. No more Curse of the Bambino, no more Curse of the Black Sox.

  12. Funny? I won't draw out this tiff. You're the one who called names. I was just making a joke. Relax bro. You're the one trolling a game thread. If you must root for those bastards, the least you could do is take it to SoxTalk or WSI. I'm sorry, I was unaware that one was only allowed to root for one team in a non-Cub game thread. Can you point me to that rule?

  14. In other news, why does your avatar look like a cropped photo of Kyle McLachlan getting "pleasured"? I got shot, [expletive]. I'm sorry to hear that Kyle. You were good in Twin Peaks though.
  15. yes. complacency has to end. and i don't consider the Sox our rivals. The Cardinals are our rivals.
  16. Before you start throwing things at me, hear me out... Prior to 2004, the lament of all Cubs fans over the near century long drought in World Series Titles was always met with "well, the Red Sox and White Sox haven't won forever either." The Red Sox took care of that last year. We should cheer for the White Sox to do it this year. Then, going into 2006, the Cubs will stand alone in their extended period of suckiness. There will be no more excuses, no more rationalizing. Their biggest competitor in their own market will be parading in the streets having snapped their own 90 year skid. No team pre-expansion will be without a Trophy since the Cubs last won. So, to make sure that the embarassment is solely on the Cubs' shoulders, I say go White Sox! /ducks

  18. Where is the guy who said the White Sox were a sham now? C'mon haters! 5-0 Chicago! /still doesn't like the team, but has to reck-a-nize
  19. Unless Jabroni registered with another name, yes. Good ol' aparoche. he's been IMing me about 4 times a day with comments like "YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARRRRRDDDDD, YESSSSSSSSSSSS!" can't you ignore people on PM?
  20. Seriously? Hurt? THAT IS FRIGGING HILARIOUS I'm hearing mild hand cramps, so you can stop the happy dance Derwood. ;) Mr. Carpenter rented a little too much porn last night or something?
  21. Uh, no. You're more like Enrique Wilson. Not here in any kind of serious capacity. Oo, Ooh, which player am I?? Rich Hill. Just as Dusty's approach with Hill, after a couple of outings, we've seen enough to know everything there is about you, yet you just keep hanging around. Wow. Ouch, though. You asked....

  23. um, how do you beat none? um, Shut Up, that's how
  24. freakin' excubs! :x So which playoff team has the fewest ex-Cubs? They'll definitely win the Series. BOS (3): Matt Clement, Jeremy Gonzalez, Bill Mueller NYY (5): Tom Gordon, Mark Bellhorn, Rey Sanchez, Tony Womack, Matt Lawton LAA (0): **unless Curtis Pride???** CHW (1): Jon Garland STL (3): Ray King, Julian Tavarez, Mark Grudzielanek SD (2): Manny Alexander, Eric Young ATL (2): Kyle Farnsworth, Todd Hollandsworth HOU (1): Jose Vizcaino so by this logic: SD over STL HOU over ATL LAA over NYY CHW over BOS HOU over SD LAA over CHW HOU over LAA
