  1. So therefore, beckpeddaled :D Ok Im done i think Penn State just got another offensive rebound
  2. i said it, then retracted it. it's a dead issue
  3. From Mirriam Webster: gay –adjective 1. having or showing a merry, lively mood: gay spirits; gay music. 2. bright or showy: gay colors; gay ornaments. 3. given to or abounding in social or other pleasures: a gay social season. 4. licentious; dissipated; wanton: The baron is a gay old rogue with an eye for the ladies. 5. homosexual. 6. of, indicating, or supporting homosexual interests or issues: a gay organization. –noun 7. a homosexual person, esp. a male. –adverb 8. in a gay manner. 9. any team that puts stickers on their helmets
  4. star recruits like Eric Gordon? OH SNAP i will. very much. /takes what he can get from crappy DePaul and PSU basketball
  5. Dream teams for me would be: TV: Len and Stone Radio: Hughes and Brenley Santo can hang out, sing the stretch, and have multiple strokes every time something exciting happens
  6. people are lazy. it's not that hard to edit it down to the last quote manually
  7. probably not. oh, and enjoy Illinois football being good now. it won't last long ;)
  8. i don't mean to overstate things, just saying that Penn State is pretty decent this year and losing to them isn't as bad as losing to Michigan or Northwestern might be. have they passed Illinois as a program? no way. but i love how all you illini guys do is bitch and moan about your own program, but god forbid someone says something about it. Ok so which is it, has Penn State passed the Illini's program or not? I have no problem with somebody saying something about the Illini's program, when what is being said is true. But in this case your original comment was ridiculous. Penn State isnt a good team, and either are the Illini. Is this the worse loss the Illini have had? No way we just lost last week to Tenn St., but its definatley not a loss to be proud of right now, and it wont be a loss to be proud of at the end of the year. Penn State will be in the bottom 5 with Illinois, Northwestern, Michigan, and Iowa when the season is done. which is it? I think i clearly retracted my first statement. i'm not going to predict where Penn State will finish in the conference, but even if they finish "bottom five", that could mean seventh, which is higher than most predicted going in. Yes, their SOS is bad, but as they saying goes, you play the teams on your schedule. They won their ACC/Big 10 Shootout game, are undefeated at home, and 2-0 (both on the road) in conference so far. Penn State has a long way to go, but don't hold such a high and mighty attitude about your precious Illini. Yes, your program is better, but it's certainly trending downwards right now. your recruiting power should allow you to rebound quickly, while Penn State has to prove it can be at all consistent (which it has failed to do year to year). Should be interesting ETA: Nice of you to mention PSU's 119 RPI while leaving out the fact that Illinois is 128 (with a SOS of 54) What would be the point of me mentioning Illinois RPI? Ive clearly stated many times throughout this thread that Illinois sucks. My whole point was about you saying losing to Penn State isnt such a bad loss, and may look good at the end of the year, which is false. Losing to a team with an RPI of 119 and a terrible SOS will never be considered a good loss. Not to mention your comment about Penn States program surpassing Illinois which you quickly backpeddeld on when callled out about it. it wasn't backpedaling, it was clarifying. think what you want, but enjoy penn state finishing ahead of you this year in conference
  9. I blame the Moonshine and incest
  10. can we stop pulling out Lofton '03 crap again? The Cubs offense was not statistically better after adding Lofton. It was pretty much a push.
  11. i may watch some of this after Amerian Gladiators :)
  12. how can someone write that article and never once type out "Southern Methodist University'"? What if a casual fan thinks this is Southern Miss? Dumb Isn't Southern Miss USM? maybe. it's just a pet peeve when writers use the acronym seven times in an article and never spell it out. it's lazy

  14. i've never had steak tartar, but I love me some beef carpaccio (sp?) salad

Should be interesting ETA: Nice of you to mention PSU's 119 RPI while leaving out the fact that Illinois is 128 (with a SOS of 54) In the next two years we have top 10 classes coming in. You don't. Although you are better than us this year, I doubt that remains the same. I guess you would argue when we beat you in football this year it was two programs heading in the other direction? as far as football, i'd say Penn State is stuck in a perpetual 8-4 rut while Illinois is improving. In basketball, it will be a long time (if ever) before Penn State will be at the same level as Illinois. But as for this season, Penn State may end up with a better record. I'll take what I can get out of them

  18. lol ok alright, we'll see who is standing at season's end. i'm glad you are so deep into your own team that you can't recognize what's going on around the league. oh, right, Indiana stole your prospects. i think i heard that somewhere
  19. you guys are freaking out about losing to Penn State, but I'm guessing that the loss won't look as bad as it seems by season's end. PSU has won 7 straight and could be 3-0 in the Big 10 before having to face Indiana. Today was a game of programs passing each other, with PSU on an upswing and Illinois heading towards rock bottom
  20. Penn State and DePaul are both 2-0 in their conferences. FTH?
  21. hello, free throws. please make them
  22. Illini and PSu tied at 31 at the half. PSU can't shoot worth a damn
  23. Lieber wasn't on the 1998 squad. He was traded to the Cubs for Brant Brown after that season. you get my point though. first Trachsel, then Leiber....let's stop tripping down memory lane here and get a pitcher who has actually been good in the last 5 years
  24. I would never choose to watch basketball over football. EVER! I wouldn't watch it over College Football, nor would I usually watch NBA over NFL, but college basketball is just so good
  25. i missed most of the game last night because of the debates, and I'll be distracted today by basketball. i just can't get into the NFL this week
